Servo SAVOX : advice needed !
Hi all !
With a friend we have two big scale full scratch build projects. This represent a lots of servos to fit inside those jets. We are currently having a look on possible servos for those models. We have found that SAVOX servos could be an option. We are searching for servos around 25 kg/cm torque, with no specific speed researched. We would like some HV servos.
We have just received a exemplary of this Savox servo fr test purpose : [link]http://www.intermodel.fr/savox/1653-savox-sc-1268sg-hv-62grs-25kg.html[/link]
We are happy with the whole servo and reasonnable price, but I've found there was a little too much gear slope, more than I was thinking off.
What is the advice of currently users of this servos and other SAVOX HV or non-HV servos ?
Are you using SAVOX servo on jets and what do you think of that ?
Will be happy to find here your advice.

RE: Servo SAVOX : advice needed !
I don't know about jets, but with RC cars, SAVOX is one of my favorite servos.

I've been using Savox 1256 TG servo's in my jets for nearly three years now, largest one is JL L39 with perfect results.
I have no problems whatsoever and trust them implicitly.
No centering or slop problems, extremely good servo for the money, would not use anything else now,
Gary.

Thanks guys for the responses !
So it seems that with titanium gears there are no problems of slope. Problem for us, the 1256TG servo is not a HV servo.
Any other use with steel gears (SG series) ?

RE: Servo SAVOX : advice needed !
Hi,
I have just bought a bunch of the savox 30kg TG servos to go into a C&C M346. I have only played with them in the workshop so far but they seem to have very little slop in the gear train, are nice and quick and no obvious signs of centring issues.
Using SWB alloy arms, the fit onto the splines was very, very tight.
Savox have been doing nice servos for some years so I'm expecting they will get the job done just fine.
