Hi David,

I am sorry about that and feel the same pain you have. Fortunately you have worked through Camlex and they are willing to hold the responsibility and refund you the money. It's nice of you that you are in support of your dealers. JL has some great products but their penny wise operation hurts their business. As a dealer, we have to set up a work shop in China to modify and to enhance the quality of these kits so we don't have to rely on the factories to make the corrections. This is why it's better to work through dealers and let us take care of these problems with factories for you. Eventually and evidently, the factories who do better service are seeing a faster growth in sales. I will raise this issue next week when I have a chance to visit JL. I love this hobby and have been in your shoes many times and will continue to help both pilots and factories to supply quality jets for our jet community.

Regards,

Mike
Appreciate it Mike. I have been flying far east models for a while now whith absolutely no issues at all, so it was about time something would bite me. I'm just glad it was minor and I can carry on.
Manufacturer defects I can tolerate as long as I can fix them, but disrespectful and plain dumb comments or playing dead I cannot.

David

Edit: Camlex came through with the refund. Jet Legend never replied to them............................

My free advise: stay away from Jet Legend.

Based on your's and Dantley's experience, you can rest assured I never will buy anything from them!

Just to keep it fresh. FEJ is not the only one out there.

They have had a bad rap for quite awhile now. Sorry to see another factory not following through on good customer service.

The upside to buying a Jet Legend plane is the great customer service from Mike Lin at Global Jet Club.

You are not RAM, not at all, an let me be clear. I still like JL kits, but their customer service is so bad I would not like to sponsor thier business again. I'm sure Mike Lin is a great guy, so is Monica at Camlex........but they need to provide feedback to the company they serve (which in turn would be good for their own bussines?). If it wasn't for this, I would buy their F-16 right now.

Same with FEJ. I can understand having a product with issues, but not being proactive about it and treating customers like crap only makes it worse.

And by not supporting these two brands..........I am pushing myself against a corner because they have all the candy I like, at they size I like and the price I like.

That being said: Yellow Aircraft, JMP, Avonds, BVM, and some Skymaster models. Im sure CARF, Skygate, Tomahawk are all great but I know nothing about them from personal experience.

That was my honest answer.

For Jet Legend, you have to go through Mike Lin and Global Jet Club.

Frankly, for any of these Chinese ARF's, either use GJC or BVM as the go-between. Period.

Mike Lin is a class act. He is the only reason I would buy Jet Legend if it ever presented itself to me.

I "second" that, Andy.

I wanted nothing to do with Jet Legend. BUT, a couple of the guys in the club are totally satisfied with the Jet Legend jets they bought through GJC. So, I've got a JL Viper on the way. And it is all because of Mike Lin and GJC that I made the decision.

BTW, just bought a Kingtech K-100G to go in it.
