Default RC Fields/Pilots in Hong Kong?

Hi,

Will be traveling to HK next month and wanted to see who's flying out there and where the fields are. Any tips or info would be great!

Some of the guys used to flyon the runway at Kai Tak Airport near Kowloon City. It was the original international airport until Chep Lap Kok Airport was completed in 1998.

I just moved from HK back to the states last March, and as of then Kai Tak had LOTS of construction and the main rwy/taxiway was off limits to RC flying. Some of the heli guys were still using open areas on the north end of the old airport by the "flying club" and cricket field. There is an official flying club to the north of Kowloon in the New Territories, but you would have to have wheels to get there. And if memory serves, it was expensive to fly there. True lots of peeps fly in open areas and I remember after getting kicked out of the old airport guys started flying at the Tseung Kwan O industrial area, at the end of the purple line on the MTR. This might also help:http://www.cad.gov.hk/english/model_aircraft.html
... Good luck Yellow...

Nice to have you at our club today Yellow, hope you had a good time in Hong Kong. Anyone else looking for jets in Hong Kong please PM me and I will point you in the right direction. Still amazed you found it? It took me 7 years to find to find that club hidden away in the hills.

Regards

JAM.
