Default Pros and Cons of Fly Eagle 1/5.5 scale F-16 and 1/5th F-86

I know almost nothing about these kits as far as quality of fit and finish. Scale accuracy. Durability and relibility of the landing gear. And ofcourse how well or poorly do they fly ?

I have quite a bit of time on the FEJ 1/5.5 F-16. They are absolutely one of the best airframes around. Construction is strong and light. Gear had issues early on but now in really good working order. You cannot go wrong with this airframe. I sold my last one about a year ago...needed funds! But have another one inbound on DHL right now...should be here this week.

Hope this helps!

I do not have the F-16 or the F-86 but I must say the quality of the model fantastic.
I have the 1/9 scale F-15
The gear is really nice.
I have 10 air cylinders 3 retracts and brakes..... I fill the air tanks and it will hold air for 2 days.
However.....
Support from FEJ,,, Fair
There is no way possible that a FEJ rep could assemble this jet with supplied parts. "Much hardware missing."
I do contact James and he always answers with a very short response. VERY SHORT RESPONSE..... Thus no help
All in all the FEJ is a fine model and excellent quality.
I hope this helps you with a bit of confidence on buying Fly Eagle

Buck,
James Chen is in MD.

Hard to believe anyone has had issues with customer service with James and Lowell. These guys are over the top great! With James, you might have a language barrier which comes across as "short" but he is an incredible rep. and cares about people.

If you need a builder, I assemble FEJ airframes.

I got the F-86 that I might be interested in moving out of the garage. Send me a PM if interested.

Thanks guys for all the info for him. I am always available as is James. We work very well together and with Rex out there building everything it's going great!! I have over 300 flights on my F86 and still going strong. They are the best "trainer" scale jet you could ever ask for. I also had the first 1/5.5 F16. We got the box on wednesday, took it to a show on thursday, and maidened it Saturday morning! It flew great as well. I really haven't had a bad flying airframe from them. Again, feel free to contact me any time. As Buck said, I am in San Diego, Ca.
