The weight little under 40 lbs. The tape lines are were the tanks sit in reference to the cg so I was wondering should I add some more weight to the tail to get the nose up a little more since the fuel tank are fwd of the cg this balance was with no fuel in any tank not even the air trap its the CAT one...

I'll be honest man, looks really good but for the amount of money they charge for the new honeycomb version, I would have expected weathering and stuff.

I'm still debating getting a Skymaster vs FEJ 1/6th, being that SM is actually cheaper now and the hardware is proven. I just don't agree on paying a premium for honeycomb, specially when it is not really needed.
I dont know, I may jset end up with the Tamjets 1/6 prototype that a buddy of mine has.

How do you nlike the honeycomb layout?

FEJ is now higher than Skymaster? You would have to be out of your mind to pay more for FEJ than Skymaster. Like you said, at least the gear works on SM stuff. I guess they need to come out with the FenderBean "Signature Series" since he has done so well promoting them.

David, your jet looks awesome. Can you send pictures that aren't upside down or sideways though? LOL.

I was going to buy a 1/8 airframe and found out that the new cost of the honeycomb version is almost as much as SM 1/6. Again, nothing against it but I would really need to see in person how much better it is than the previous version. I used to have a sport scale before and I was extremely happy with it, so I could not justify the price increase based on using honeycomb alone, because I honestly think it didnt need it to begin with.

Can wait to see one of the new ones in person. I've been told they are significantly better. If they are, then the price increase should not be a problem.

Only benefit to the honeycomb is weight saving, if i could do it all over i would have got the full honeycomb f-16 would be nice to have the jet weigh 31-32 rather than 37-38 pounds. They do weathering if the person ask for it, some people like myself dont like weathering. I hate jet prices period there all high in my opinion.

Umm a 1/6th SM runs in the 6's and a 1/6th FEJ runs in the 4's fully painted, I got these prices in October 2012, so unless something has changed FEJ is still the economical choice.

I would consider SM, btu the weight savings on the Honey Comb makes the FEJ more attractive, even though SM clearly has a superior finish.

NOTE: the above is comparing the ARF plus pro series and not the budget extreme jet series.
