RE: Flyeaglejet F35 A 1:7
Just checked it: the front clamp of both vertical stabs are build from a sandwich of honeycomb and plywood, the aft clamb is on a large hobeycomb former with al sorts of small plywood formers on the aft side of it. To me this seems very strong. And if not, Peter would have noticed this...

The whole thickness needs to be plywood or ply on both sides with honeycomb sandwiched in the center if one were to use it. That thin strip of ply on one side isn't enough for support. The crushed honeycomb on one side does not offer any type of structural support of any kind. Note how the hardware is dimpled in the honeycomb. Once it's crushed there is no support in that area other than the thin layer of ply on one side.

Hello everybody,
I've posted some updates on my project website and will continue to do so for the remainder of the build. Here's the URL of my website:
www.f35model.nl
It is in Dutch, there is no correct translation to English yet. But you can give Google Translate a try, with its automated translation?

Kind regards from The Netherlands,

I don't know. Is there someone from the US that can answer that?
You cannot buy this plane the way mine is looking right now. It took a lot of work, extra money and skill to pull it off.

Last week, my model ended up on national television, in a debate on the purchase of our F-35's:

Well, I'm ready for engine installation now. I have to say this thing has come together a lot better than I had expected. Hardware was decent, fit of parts was good, left the gear pressurized overnight with no leaks, lots of room for equipment. Mine does not have any HC, it has hardwood formers all over. Everything "I can see" is hard mounted. I could easily fit 80oz of smoke fluid inside just forward of the CG.
I was ready to get busy with carbon reinforcements, but they don't seem to be needed. I'll just have to keep an eye on everything inside until I grow comfortable with it. I still want to get xrays of wings, stabs, and rudders (my dentist owes me a favor :-)
Yes, you will need a nice sequencer and 4 air valves (I have a mix of electronic and servo driven). The gear has a set of doors that only open during gear cycling, and remain closed the rest of the time(at least the real one does).
I'll keep you posted.

Thats exactly what I used! Bought the Xicoy CG meter just to locate it spot on.
You will notice it feels very nose heavy when sitting on its mains, its normal because the mains are too far aft. It will take a lot of forward speed to rotate, flaps help a lot.
In the air it feels good with the recommended CG, very solid.
