Careful during gear cycling. When the main gear fwd doors are open it becomes violent, so for the first few flights make sure not to retract while on a climbing turn.....it will roll upside down!
That is fixed with a roll gyro or just retract with wings levelled.
If you have gear troubles and fly with gear extended, expect bingo in 5 minutes or less, so dont go too far.

Ok so the jet is not possible to straight taxi the front retracts is so losse it make the jet fall to sights and scratch the wings at maybe 20 mph just got crazy on the runway side to side ,I will try to fix the problem and maybe after some testing with faster speed on the ground I will try to maiden the jet .

Sorry about your mishap......Nose gear loose? You mean the retract itself or the steering linkage? The model is very sensitive to steering, as you've noticed. I think it is worse on landing roll out....I rarely ever brake down to a stop. Any differential braking it will scrape off the wingtips. On takeoff, try to align it as best as possible and ease off on the steering.
The nose gear is so poorly made that it doesn't lock in the down position. The racetrack is significantly larger than the guide pin, so with air pressure removed, the nose just wants to retract....be advised as it will break your nose gear door hinges off. I always put a pair of pliers on the nose gear between the cylinder and the guide pin to prevent that from happening.

OK so I have new steering pin and new sleeve not brass but hard metal .I never noticed that the tires should be pumped up to at least 65 lbs this probably cost the biggest problem on taking of. I have one more thing to ask did you set the cg with gear up or down position the 10cm looks like nose heavy position at least based on to my skymaster f-22 .so I have the delta mix for elevators -and flaps on flaps with little elavans mix on the switch is this correct I have the same mix on my f22 and it works perfectly please let me know what I should do before second maiden try tomorrow on 800f long runway and p160 thanks

Ok so last time I have the same problem with the jet ,,not possible to straight rotation ,,so I check the main retracts and the alignment was little in so this problem is now fixed .do you ever try to fly with just the two main fuel tanks to make the nose gear little lighter ? And same question from last week do the correct cg is with the gear in or down thanks and please respound thanks.

I did it with the gear down. I've always flown it with all three tanks, and again....my Rhino will sip it it all quickly. It is very steering sensitive on takeoff, but to be honest not more than my Bandit was.....which I eventually mastered without a gyro. The problem is, if you steer too hard during rotation you will scrape a wing tip. It needs quite a bit of speed to rotate too.
I did not realize that about the wheels, mine appear to be solid rubber to be honest.

Here was my last flight at around 50". You can see it takes a bit of speed to takeoff. I think I did not use flaps on that one, so it jumped a little bit.
I lost a rudder on that flight, and couldn't even notice it until I landed. Just a little bit of side slipping, which I thought was a gear door not shut completely so I lowered the gear just in case. That was not my best approach, as I just wanted to land prior to bingo.

Thanks for all the help with the jet ,I might be able to try maiden it this Saturday or Sunday if the lending gear is correct thi time ,I was not able to program the alierons and flaps with delta on the tail so I just did delta for stabs and flaps this should work I think the cg is 10cm from the wings rot leading edge and p-160 for power .check if you have little gold nipples on the wheals you should pump it to at least 45 lbs .

Yes it a semi scale version of the X-35A. It benefits a lot from the longer wingspan and relaxed airfoil. You can tell FEJ simply 3D scanned a 1/48th F-35AA model (not an A, but the pre-production AA which is also different from an X-35A). If you look at the wingtip on the model, you can see the incredible 25 degree washout. I don't think anyone on their right minds would copy that feature on a model. Same with the large single nose gear door, which created adverse yaw on the pre-production version (required trim).
To be honest, FEJ would not be so bad if it wasn't a FEJ. I like how it flies, but it certainly doesn't feel as lightly loaded as the version on the video.

OK so after some time I was able to find new retracts .the look much stronger and stiffer than the older one so I changed the nose gear retract and reset the main one for better alignment. But after some research and calculations I also moved the center fuel cell between the main ones but for the maiden flight I'm going to use just the two main tanks for about 4-5 min flight if all goes well and after change back to 3 tanks .the two main tanks have about 90 Oz of fuel so this should be good for 4-5 min flight with p-160 .there main reason why I did the changes are to eliminate the extra weight from the nose strut when full of fuel so after all the fuel tanks are full the cg almost don't change maybe little to the nose but nothing like when the original setup .hope this helps doing rotation. the original setup. and the new way.

So today I got back to the jet with some cg testing. Have done two tests one with two main tanks full and all 3 tanks full the cg don't change a bit actually doesn't change at all from totally empty to fully loaded with fuel all 3 tanks. there just little change to the nose favor but maybe 5 Oz .there almost non extra weight Theo the nose gear just even spread to all tires. I hope this will help doing rotation. The cg is setup to the recommend 100mm and I'm going to setup the jet as delta for the tail surface and just flaps on the wings. If the weather work I might even try to maiden the jet before the winter. Guys just look on my new cg machine two work horses two brum sticks and rope works like champ. Will also try to split the nose gear door before the maiden hope all the things I have been doing will work good and the maiden will be successful. the cg pictures are with full of fuel and there almost no extra weight to the nose gear.

And it works perfect to check the exact center if you connect the rope at the front and back former in center location and when suspended just change the interior equipment location for best cg.or just order 3 digital scales for about $9.95 on eBay this works to but not as perfect as the rope
