Default UAT Info

I was wondering what you guys are using for UATs other than BVM. How are they working out compared to his? Just looking for a possible substitution. Thanks in advance.

Have a look at the Kingtech UAT. They work great.

The CAT and JMP's solid UAT's are tops! Fuel plumbing is pretty doggon simple until you loose a airframe because of it (well, a flameout due to fuel starvation to the turbine)! There is more to it than just a UAT...there is proper venting, fewer connections to keep cavitation away...keeping the fuel lines as large and equal in dia. as possible to the pump, keeping your fuel line runs short and straight, etc. Also, in flight throttle demand has much to do with it when you add up venting, line size, etc.

This is just my opinion. I flew with BVM and Hansen traps on Kingcats, Flashes, Lightnings for years. Ever since I lost that bird, I've gone to solid UAT's.

Best of luck,
Rex

I have just finished a Boomerang Elan, and I used a MAP UAT.

8 flights so far without a problem, and lots of people in UK use them
