Roy,

You probably got bugs bigger than that where you live!

Curious if there is even a controller. One of those things where a bunch of R&D went into making something completely useless, but what they learned doing it will spin off onto a ton of neat applications.

George. You are very correct and getting bigger by the year. Ha. Ha. Went out on the web and it stated it was even controllable by a iPhone. Ha. Ha. Waiting for the price on This One. Lol.

The BioicOpter's most noticeable downside is that Festo has no current plans to sell the device. Festo, a corporate-level German engineering company, designed the device as a research project to study the dynamics of efficient, artificial flight. Model aircraft enthusiasts looking to take the machine out for a spin, or do-it-yourself drone builders who want to outfit the machine to run on its own, are out of luck.

We have a hatch of Damsel fly's every summer on our trout lake, this looks like the perfect solution. LOL

Looks like an improved version of the Dragonfly RC Tech I bought for me, my kids and my nieces a few years back for $20 a piece!

We well and truly pissed my wife off the summer of 2010 with these. I'd get the cousins to come over and fly these with my kids. You could only fly 2 at a time but it was like a dragonfly infestation. As soon as the two would land the next two would go up. I think I lost out on a few weeks of companionship but we all have a lifetime of funny memories remembering my wife and her sister batting at these things with pillows, brooms, books, you name it. The fly swatters proved to be fatal though, too accurate to fly against so you'd have to catch them off guard. It was an all out war against the mechanical dragonflies for months. The "kids" loved it.
