The Aurora gets a new heart
First let me say that I don't want this thread to turn into a bashing thread. I just want to give my first impressions of the Kingtech 180. Just installed turbine today.
Ran the turbine on a test stand yesterday and my was I amazed. Having had other brands where when you start it you push the throttle stick up all the way and leave it there then pull back to idle after it starts. With the Kingtech you push throttle stick and back down immediately. After two no starts I finally got the hang of it.
Installation was a snap, no valve to mess with as they are under the front engine cover.
Throttle response-oh my that was the scary part at first as I wasn't used to that. Spool up time from idle to full thrust was just a couple of seconds. Setting up ECU, you get three choices of a throttle curve, full expo, half expo and linear. I left mine set at default setting, half expo. I can't imagine what the linear curve would be like especially while taxiing.
Hope to take it out sometime this week for some air time.

Kingtech 180 would be perfect for our Aurora in the UK but have to pay silly money compared with other options. Would rather have Kingtech but sadly this just cant happen.
