Default Anyone seeing ads from Dreamworks?

We haven't seen one of our ads in several months. I can refresh the page 100 times and still never see a Dreamworks ad. Anyone seeing them at the top of the jet forum main page???? RCU claims they are running []

Todd,

I had to refresh the page 6 times just to read your/this post !!!! There is definitely a low pressure area hovering over RCU !!!! To answer you question, No I have not seen any of your ads in a while.

Thanks guys... at least "someone" is seeing them [&o]

Curious... How many of you actually click on these ads to check out something being advertised? The response from the ads has been very poor for quite some time on RCU, Thinking it may be time to quit advertising here. Do you find them useful or just ignore them? We do have a [link=https://www.facebook.com/groups/203617622985114/]FACEBOOK[/link] page which we post all of our updates and sale info on... Perhaps its time to end things with RCU?

Its kinda like paying for an advertisement for a big sign but the sign has holes in it with no lights and bird crap all over it. RCU is all messed up.

I see the ads, but rarely (read never) click on them. I find them more aggravating than anything. I don't need to click on your ads anyways as the first place I look to mail order anything I need, i go to you anyways

I've mentioned this before Todd.. you should put a forum on your website... I'm sure there are other resources to purchase jet toys, but you and BVM's site if you don't have it are the only two I ever look at. With the uncertainty of this site right now, your site seems like the ideal place to start a dedicated jet forum. (then you wouldn't have to pay to advertise anymore ;-) ) maybe RCU would buy banner ads from you! I know there are other jet forums, but they don't seem to have traction, perhaps yours could. It would make a great place for online support of stuff you sell as well. And you wouldn't be having to give the advice, others would. We all love to share our expertise whether we possess it or not!

Haven't not seen the ads yet but probably won't click on them if I did. The ads are not gonna entice me to buy something. I know your phone number and will call when I need or want anything. Right now I'm lucky if I can even log onto RCU.
With that being said, you may pick up a few new customers as a result of the ads.

I (and every single person I know) run Addblock + for our browser so we don't see any of the adds. And even if we did...I have a no click policy on anything that is advertising aka spam.

Not to mention I go to Dreamworks first for ANYTHING and only leave if you don't have what I need.

I think the adds and how they appear on RCU are directly related to the threads you frequent, all I have seen for months is the Modellbau Tornado adds, nothing else.

Mike

EDIT; just went back to the jets forum front page and there it was again.

2nd EDIT: and again, and this time its at the top of this thread.

I have tried numerous times over the past month to see just ONE of my ads, refreshing the page over and over again... yet to see one!
I appreciate the feedback guys. Think it is time for us to pull out of the RCU advertising. We suggest you follow our [link=https://www.facebook.com/groups/203617622985114/]FACEBOOK[/link] page for daily updates, notices and specials (some which are never posted here) as we decide where our advertising is best suited. Clearly, RCU is no longer providing us (or you) the service we grew accustomed to when Marc and Michael were running things. Even those in control of the advertising cant seem to communicate with each other to get things done.

Would there REALLY be any interest in me creating a forum? I can put one together fairly quick if there is a real interest!

Already have one for us Todd.

Best part is Dustin is the moderator. Nice having a fellow jet pilot in charge.

I just took a screen shot of the RCU banner with the VT80 ad up top to show you, but I can't post a picture LMAO!!!!!!!! I can barely post period the site is running so slow tonight.

I wouldn't bother advertising, if anyone asks where to get things in the forum you are the first name to arise anyway. I don't click on the ad's to begin with.

What RCU forgets is that while the members don't pay anything to be here, a forum that the members are frustrated is a forum that will never make money from ad's either becuase as we are now seeing, the advertisers can't be bothered. When there are no members, there are no sponsors, when there are no sponsors, there is no money.

One thing is for sure, you need to let us know that you are out there ready to help with our projects by suplying us with the items we need.

The one thing that remainds me of Dreamworks is the times when you reply or start a new thread, then I can see you.

Mi point is, we need to be remainded of Dreamworks one way or another.

I have never seen you adds and I don't need to be reminded. Whenever I need something, I automatically think on Dreamworks because of the great service. In our club, whenever we have something new coming into jets, we immediately recommend buying his stuff from you. I usually deal with Linda and let me tell you something..... she rocks.
