Had a fantastic time today. Really good to get out and catch up with everyone. Lot's of flying, lot's of banter and even followed up with a post match beer - what more could a bloke want?
Brilliant event run by brilliant people!

Unfortunately I wasn't able to get there with a model or until 2:00 but thanks to Mark Hinton for letting me fly the CARF Viperjet and Luke Barnett for a flight with his F16, made all the difference.

As ever, I get to take the credit when the work's done by everybody else! In reality, the credit belongs to: Sam Spreadbury, Sue Garret, Chris Spreadbury, Paul Heckles, Animal, Big G, Captain Aldridge, Martin Forrest, Mark Starjet, Selwyn, Rog Kilbey and Jamie Cuff, for help on the day, and to SMC for food safety input. Much appreciated.
It was great to see Don Imrie and Dave Kelly all the way down from Edinburgh, and Florent Colombet from Paris (who came over to collect my...sorry, his...Mirage), but thanks to everybody who came and made it a brilliant day - the second best attended CJ of all time!
I managed to escape a couple of times and got a few pics, posted below.
Just finished the big steam clean-up and packaway...off to prep the L-39 for a Monday Jet Rebel session!
Cheers,
Dick

Really sorry I missed it; I was looking forward to it after the crap flying weather we have been having.
Unfortunately it was not to be. Only a few days before I had to have some repair done to my undercarriage....
Nice job done by the surgeon, I am told it is all titanium so it will keep my overall weight down...
Pics below show before and after surgery...

Thanks Dick.
Yep, it has been a crap 6 months I thought it had reached rock bottom when my younger brother died just after Xmas but to break my leg as well...
I wish I could say that I was out base jumping, skiing, surfing, snowboarding or some other dangerous sport ... but all I did was step backwards at our local field...leg slipped from under me on the damp grass, ankle folded outwards....I fell and twisted.....this was followed by a loud cracking sound and pain...Oh Joy...
I knew it was serious when my foot was not facing in the right direction!
So , 6 weeks with no walking at all, can’t drive or go to work.
Then starts physiotherapy and recovery so.... I would like to think I can make the next CJ but let’s see how things go.
Best wishes to you all.
