Frank:
I know how excited you must be. I share your excitement and look forward to seeing you at a jet meet in the near future. That being said and with all the activity on dubd's (Dantley) F-14 crash I encourage you to have the stabs xray'd and take a series of photos of the aft end of the jet. Post these pictures and the result of the xrays on the F-14 thread and solicit input. Second, if your gear mounts are glued to HC ribs or former's. . .the gear will come out. Witnessed this at FJ13 on two new FEJ Jets. Strengthen the gear mounts even if it means some surgery within the fuse. You will be glad you did. Looking at the three pictures you posted, you have thousands invested. I am not looking forward to a call from you requesting crash repair service on your new Cheetah's. We value you as a customer and as well, I value your friendship.
Sincerely,
Eric

Well.. I bench ran both motors today, and of course perfect flawless startups!! Thanks Eric!!
Eric, yes I will be x-raying the stabs to check them, my wife is an x-ray tech and can take them to work!!
ALL:
As for the FEJ F15.. yes I have been following the other FEJ F14 threads. With that said, I do intend to go thru the plane and check everything. My skymaster BD5, I had to re-engineer the thrust line in the plane, had a JL F15 as well that was modified, and re-designed my DV8R landing gear blocks (now they actually have glue and can take a pounding without blowing all the wood blocks out of the wing). I have been building kits for over 20yrs, I am very good at modifing and building for strength. So I know these ARFs from across the pond all need to be inspected and modified no matter which company builds it. This is the nature of the beast. No USA company builds a F15 1/7th, so if I want one I order one from across the pond, and I know what I am getting into to make it strong enough to last.
I am not a rep for any company, therefore I gladly take advice from fellow rc jet pilots! But, this thread will not be a witch hunt or company flaming thread.. please keep those to the other threads.

I have my two recommended mods for you, once all air/electrical things are complete I have a few things I plan to beef up just my personal likings. I am going to join the two gear bulkheads with a vertical ply to support landing loads. I also plan to make another cross beam, the middle bulkhead/wing tube clamp has one to keep the wings from folding up to meet the requirement but the second bulkhead that has a clamp for the other wing tub is going to get beefier. It has a ply bulkhead running over the top, but I want more since its a twin and I plane to fly ordinance. Keep a watch out for the videos if you are interested.

FB,
I was also thinking of the wing cross braces as well, my JL F15 had them and I am going to run the stores at some point too. Those definetly will add extra strength to the fuse.

Frank, tell them to send you pictures that matter, like the inside. Looks like HC bulkheads in the one pic, hard to tell though. We all know they can make a plane look pretty.

Just curious - any real reason why the refueling receptacle has a ''RADIATION HAZARD'' marking on it?
Did they refuel with Plutonium or something? [8D]

I was wondering that myself, I did noticed all their F15 no matter what which color scheme has that. I been trying to find a real F15 E model with it?

Here is a site dedicated to the F-15E and the link to the photo shows there is no marking on that fuel door panel.

The photo with the red lights on shows the Anti Collision lights on.
