Depends what output voltage you need 1
If you want 5.5-5.9v output for standard servos you could run a Powerbox switch like the Sensor switch or Gemini and have two batteries. But current output is limited to 5A or 10A total

YES, ONE PER BATTERY INPUT. BETWEEN EACH PACK AND RX INPUT.

In short. Probably.

Unless all your servos are rated at that high voltage, then you don't need one. If not, then yes, you need one!
