Chief quoted me that on the 1/6.75?I had to call the shipping company and get an honest quote which was less than half that. They did not want to stop my order on the rabbit se right after I purchased it to go with a larger turbine after finding out the extreme f-16 was not available but listed on there sight with nothing about it being on hold?I still purchase stuff threw them and I receive the products but to many problems and camunictions dealing with them as a middle man.

I got the elevators taken care of.Got some machined ball links which pushed the linkage out a bit and filed the elevator shafts notch back some. The ball links were pretty tight but mounted the bolt of the link to my dremel and a little oil seem to free them right up.The ball links are 8 bucks a piece.

Yeah it was either $650 if I waited for next shipment, or $800 now. The now option made more sense. Seems like with the waiting on next container option the ground shipping to Tx is still so much that it isn't worth the wait.

I've ordered parts from pacificrcjets and they were great. My last order was with SM Direct and it was also great.

I know these planes are large boxes but really?? $800 shipping? I have shipped 100k value rare instruments in boxes about that size for about $100 on southwest.

...hence the reason I wait for someone domestic to buy it, stuff it, fly it, get bored and then I make an offer. I rarely ever fly anything new to the market though, for that I'd have to eat the $800 and wait in line.

I also had no problems ordering threw skymaster.I know they rather ship to a dealer but our dealers scam us so they can support there own jet addictionI think after I got pissed at chief for not giving me any info and seeming like he didn't wat my business he finally emailed me back then said 650.The reason he said it was so high was because they had them make wood crates for shipping but skymaster boxed mine up really well with double walled packaging.I ended up saving the box.I did freek out at times because you feel like you gave them a buch of money with no contact or return emails but you pay with paypal and you have buyers protection.

i pulled the trigger on a 1/6.75 in the first part of January and it is 6 weeks early on the delivery. it's in ohio as i type. should have it monday. i hope all the issues with quality and the gear have been fixed. this is my first scale militarily jet . i picked up a low time kingtech 120g with 76 min on it for the f-16. i have heard and witnessed some horror stories about DHL and i'm really hoping it gets here in one piece .i hear SM does pack the stuff good. i have a viperjet 2M that i will be putting into the air this summer and the 16 next year. i opted for a RX140 for the viper because i want to fly off grass at meets. We are blessed to be able to fly at our local airport. we have 3,700 feet of unobstructed airspace and a great local government that really enjoys us using the AP . .. back to the 16.... i was wondering what the comparison between the 16 and the viper . because we don't have much hardtop to fly off at the different local events, i opted to fly boomerangs because their short field capabilities so these are my first really nice jets. i'm open for opinions WB-1

Maidened my SM1/6.75 F16 over the weekend. With factory settings it flies OK. Model now has 5 flights and I'm fine tuning throws, CG etc. L.A.D.P I balanced mine wheels down and UAT full. No issue with the maiden doing it this way but I did feel it was a little overly nose heavy for my liking.Very happy with flight performance of the model, powered by a K120G ver2 has a good balance of scale power. Weighed in at 12.8kg dry. I'll advise exact CG and throws I settle on once 15+ flights have been accomplished. Cheers

i have a NIB jetcat p-140RX i was going to put in mine but i think i'll sell it and go with a 120 as the fuel tanks on the f-16 are disappointingly small . that should give me better fuel economy and less weight

AS a guide, with a K120G2 flying relatively scale (the odd full throttle climb or pass), after a 5min flight i'm still landing with the main tank nearly full. (Saddle tanks empty)
I think the model would handle a 140 size turbine no problems but the K120 appears to be a perfect match if your interested in more scale like flying. (more applicable for flying off sealed runway)

For a 140 I'd try finding a legacy JL F-16 1/6. They are super light, and essentially a very good kit. Too bad you can only get it through the Kool Aid factory in Florida, though I've heard you can get it through the black market too.

Hey guys I've got a question about where to put the third centre tank. The manual just states to put it above the main tanks with no pictures to show where. I assume the most common sense place would be to put it on the wooden plate just behind the canopy ahead of the intake duct. Or is a better place above the intake duct on a made up platform for it to sit on, closer to the cg?

Thanks, Mike

I've installed the third tank directly over the intake duct. To do this you will need to make up a platform, I made mine removable.
It's a pity some type of platform isn't included within the kit to mount the supplied tank, after all its meant to be an ARF.
Another tip is to ensure you also strengthen the bulkhead the main wing tubes slide into as a precautionary measure.
And while you are there, install CF tube (Glued in) into the Aluminum wing tubes for extra security.

I've 11 flights on this F16 now and would have to say its the nicest F16 I've flown. (And thats comparing to the others I've flown in many size and manufacturer types)

Thanks Bainy, the tank is shaped to go there and thought the same about no platform being provided. One other tip I read somewhere(may have been in this thread), is to strengthen the area around where the wing retention is. It's known to let go and have the wing come off so I put a wood plate and hysol on each side to spread the load better.

I want one but I ain't paying $600.00 for shipping. Non of the X-treme jets are available. You either have to pay for it and wait like 10 weeks. Way things are going with China, foget about it. Ain't buying tihs, kcuf them all!
