How did you set up your rudder linkage? The stock internal set up shown in the manual or external?
I did the internal with double rods. seems to be very tight.

I am leaning towards a cheetah 140 I have. The ideal engine seems to be a k120 the cheetah is only a few grams heavier
slightly shorter in length and a 1/4" larger in diameter. I also have a a Rabbit SP I could use.
From my research the people flying them with 100s do not seem to be disappointed with the performance.
My only concern is fuel consumption. Im thinking a cheetah throttled back would maybe be more fuel efficient than a rabbit getting worked a little harder....
Makes sense. What scheme did you order?

Alaskan camo, you should roll the dice with me and order one.
I don't like gambling alone.

My favorite scheme. I have to wait till my HSD Arctic camo starts falling apart before getting something bigger. May not be too long :-)

I hear ya, I just can’t get myself to get into foam.
What would power it with? Cheetah or rabbit?

Sorry for the delayed response. I'm the only RCU user who get's no email notifications from RCU since they changed the website.

Yeah, the foam thing was not a great decision. The Cheetah is the 31 lb version?

Hi.
I received this month this F 16 1 / 6.75.
It's the G2 version of the airex.
I have weighed all components and weighs 8.5 Kg.
I'll use a Jets Munt M 100 XBL turbine

Thank you for the info Dan73.
im surprised how light weight it is considering the size of the airframe.
Like the scheme too, I’ve never seen that one.

Yea I’m still on the fence to power mine with a rabbit 100 or cheetah 140. If mine is that light I may go with the rabbit.

New Jet Central motor released today. Lynx.....130 size. Slightly smaller than the Cheeta and has low fuel consumption. I saw it on their Facebook page.

Wow that would be perfect!
I saw the Hornet 85, but not the lynx.

To those that have some flight time. What is the neutral point of the stabs. ?{ not mentioned in manual} I am setting up control throws on mine. Any control throw changes from manual ? CG ? I am setting up flaperons , Is this a good idea or not needed ?
Thanks,
Scott

Been wanting to get one of these, but the price of the 1/6 on the black market has been so good lately.

Hi Scott, the only F16 I’ve ever had is a Tams 1/8.
your stab neutral will be dependent on CG.
I would start with a very slight amount of up eleveator.
maybe 1/8 to 1/4” above the speedbrake.
From my limited research the recommended CG and throws seem to be Ok.
Are you getting close to Maiden? What are your thoughts on the build so far?

Thanks for the info Dieselman ! It is turning winter up here in Rochester NY so it won't be flown till spring. I will get the engine this winter. The build is going well, landing gear and brakes are rigged, all servos are installed and functioning, wires are run, Tanks installed. Overall it has gone together well, the only concern is that I have some play in the stab bearings causing a little slop in stabs. I need to see if the washers they give you are pushing on the inner bearing race which would tighten the bearing play. This is my first jet with stabilators, so not sure what is acceptable. The only complaint on the finish {Thunderbird sceme} is that the markings are too big. Looks like maybe they used the 1/6 decals. Not a competition plane so not a big deal.
