Bummer that you had to cut up your flap due to workmanship issues at the factory. How is the workmanship on the rest of the kit?

Regards,

Jim

Well if anybody knows about a little kit bashing that is you Jim.
The really good thing about this kit is the gear doors have just an amazing wonderful fit. The cockpit kit is also very nice. I think the fuselage looks pretty scale with no major defects. There really are no great construction photos and no instructions what so ever. Fortunately the designer of the kit and several other European modelers have been very helpful answering questions I have had. I would mount the whole tail assembly if it was warm enough to paint. I want to paint my elevators and rudders before final assembly of tail plane but otherwise good to go.

I am going to wait for you to tell me proper spring assembly for Gripen struts before I mount nose gear.

Cheers Roy

Excellent choice

I just bought an M140 myself about a month ago! Went and picked it up from Jetmunts You should give it plenty of power for the Salamander then.

Thanks

Dave

The full size has small curved winglets added to the inboard flaps and also extends out from fuse to meet the flaps. I created laminates of 1/64 ply with 1/16 balsa cured while taped to a curved surface. This is what it looks like on left flap

I just saw this video that was posted recently and wondered if it was the same kit or the new He-162 kit that was released in Germany not long ago?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjlVf-Ukf9s

Thanks
