Hello
Can the Shockwave be purchased without the landing gear and if so what would the price of the kit be then? Also would like to know if Behotec C-50 retracts (electric) would work in this kit? Any info would be appreciated

Hi Melvin,
The landing gear are made especially for the Shockwave. There are no available struts or nose gear available on the market to fit and operate correctly.
We had one customer that tried to fit Behotec with many challenges and in the end wished he had just used the Shockwave landing gear.
We have spent a lot of time(and money) perfecting the landing gear. Our landing gear are very high quality and robust. The latest versions are the best available on the market.
Our gear are also designed to operate from grass.
We inventory all spare parts and can service them here as well.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
Thanks
Scott

Please show us a pic of one installed in a Shockwave. These wont drop in and bolt on to a Shockwave.

As for Airtech please post a link of where he sells the Shockwave gear.

Here's a novel idea, why not let the COMPANY THAT OWNS THE DESIGN AND SELLS the kit answer any questions pertaining to the model? Do everyone a favor and keep your erroneous and unsolicited information to yourself.

Please contact altecare.com at any time to order the shockwave airkit, It is not designed by EAS just like its not BUILT by EAS, it is made by Erwin from airtech in Swisterzland. perhaps they had the length of strut made, but I doubt it because they had 210mm struts before.

The shockwave uses the EXACT same gear as the aurora RC jet by q-composites.

You can also get the Electric version for $1850.00 in official airtech electric versions;

The entire airtech kit with wheels and struts and brakes is $1350 + shipping. I know I have it on my Jacknife I purcahsed it from Altecare who is an airtech dealer. This gear is OK, Behotec is better IMO because the springs on the airtech are too soft and need to by modified by cutting off 3-4 rings to make the gear stiffer; Also the nose needs to modified to or it just bottoms out. Anyone who has had a Ultra Flash or Ultra LIghtning will know what I am talking about.

I'm sure it would take NO time at all to modify the plane to accept behotec gear; which is clearly a superior gear. Composite arf agrees which is why the ship the Behotec Gear with there Ultra Flash AND Ultra Lightning; albiet with airtech struss. The airtech are also sloppy, the wheels too narrow, and the shock dampner doesn't do much at all and in fact causes problems with the piston rod bends.

As for the comment "Show me a plane with these installed" Gee I wonder why anyone would go and do that CONSIDERING THEY ARE FORCED TO PURCAHSE THE PLANE WITH THE GEAR. Its like not like they have the option to purchase the plane without the gear like EVERY OTHER MANUFACTURE IN THE WORLD.

wow due to decling euro, the shockwave retract set is now only $1295
Airtech Retract Set: $US 1,295
http://www.altecare.com/aurora.htm

If there is any doubt, view the set on Aurora Rc official site:
http://www.qcomposites.com/qcomposites_v-1.3_062.htm

wow only $1235 but Euro Shipping is probably gonna be way to high, so best bet is to contact Peter, great guy.

Amazing how Aurora Rc was able to sell a Gear that EAS designed just for the shockwave...

Disco lacking smarts,
you went around us and you got the old style gear. that's what you get for going around us. your welcome! altecare and airtech will not sell shockwave gear. You got the outdated version.
We have new springs too. the spring you have weren't made for a 60 lb Jacknife.
Guess who designed the Aurora? Guess who designed the Shockwave? hence similar gear.
Someone tried to modify Behotec. It didn't work.
We are happy to sell just a kit. We have done it before.
We have spent a to of money to make our gear the best. save yourself the headache.
Carf has moved to Airtech gear. No longer using Behotec.

still spreading misinformation I see.
staying out of threads benefits everyone. too bad you wont.

Scott

Keep using name calling I will report every post if you can't keep it civil, the MINI 15 and mech 20 retract bodies were around LONG before there was a shockwave and were in Futura and other tomahawk planes back in 2011. Now IQ-Hammer supplies them (which are also excellent).

a fully loaded shockwave is pushing 54 lbs which isn't that far off form a 60lb jacknife. The airtech springs collapse even when dry (42 lbs). This is a problem on numerious planes, Ultra Flash, Ultra Lightning and probably any other plane that uses this style of strut. The behotec struts do not have this issue. One could even say use the behotec struts on the air-tech gear since they both use 8mm pins to hold them in place.

Oh, now your civil? that's hilarious.
We don't use the mini 15 or 20. keep thinking you know everything.
IQ hammer doesn't use them either. old versions buddy.
A shockwave was just built to 36lbs dry. we don't carry 18lbs of fuel. once again you don't know what your talking about.

I have behotec on my Diamond. I do not like them, they have many issues along with way too many moving parts. I cant even compress my struts. they might as well be a straight strut. would be horrible for grass.

Educate yourself before you open your mouth and try and come on here to discredit us. then ask me to be civil? We all know your motives!

Nice try!
Go away Bro
Scott

Wow your hilarious Disco. I always get good entertainment from how knowledgeable you are. I can only hope I meet you one day at a event so you can feel the Shockwave in person and then we can shake hands. Maybe even treat u to a pork sandwich after.

This is the main retract body; http://www.airtech-germany.de/epages...Products/12002 the so called "new version" The old version had slot cuts butween the 2nd and third holes
This is the nose retract body: http://www.airtech-germany.de/epages...Products/12001 the nose was the same no difference in versions
These are the Main struts: http://www.airtech-germany.de/epages.../Products/2106
This is the OIL Dampener that was included in the original main struts (BUT IS NO LONGER INCLUDED): http://www.airtech-germany.de/epages...oducts/D002264
Here are the wheels and brakes: http://www.airtech-germany.de/epages.../Gummi__Rubber

All made and designed by Erwin for Air-tech for sale to ANYONE and has been FOR MANY years, even in 2011.

IF the plane was offered without gear, then your best bet by far is to buy this: http://www.airtech-germany.de/epages...ucts/1001-10-e 100% guarenteed to work on the shockwave and is drop fit.

All made by ERWIN from Airtech using components he has been designing and selling.

believe what you will, i'm sure your Ego is too big to accept this and you will keep saying it was specially built for the shockwave
