Cool and thanks for the references. You laid the dimensions just as would be needed. Actually, when we are designing parts for the F-18, it will not only be for the Yellow twin .. these parts can then be scaled to fit any F-18 . I know tubs and openings will vary, but once we have a model, its very easy to make it work in any model of that type For instance with our MFD screen bezels/frames, we have the same model we use for the large 43mmx57mm screens as we do for the 20mmx14mm , its just printed at a different scale . The only big difference ends up being some of the detail just gets ridiculous small, and then though its there, i don't know if anyone could actual paint it, or not to mention see it unless at 5'' distance from it I'll post a picture later to show how things scale down .
The F-18 is definitely on the priority list wont be long for at least the cockpit to be out , and then lots of other parts following... As for the Sky master F-18 ... is it possible to cut a panel open and make it hinged around where the canon would be ? I am almost done with a F-18 style canon that could be fit under an opening panel, and look super cool .. also, do the SM f-18s at least come with a tub ? or is it a wide open hole under the canopy ?
regards,
Voy

Hi Mike ,
we are going to start populating our web-store with some of the items shortly ... to start we will have various assortments and sizes of switches, face plates, radios, MFD bezels, knobs, seat parts etc ... Also, we will list pricing for panels both raw, as well as painted and ready to drop in for most sport jets.
From here we are focusing on parts on a per model basis , finishing the Euro, and them onto the F-18. All parts can be scaled/sized to fit any need

Here is the sport jet ( CARF Flash / Lightning ) cockpit set. The panel comes standard with transparencies for the instruments and screens, or can be made available painted and detailed, or even one, or two working MFD screens .. The seat dress up kit works around the CARF supplied seat box. Just glue it onto the box seat, and paint up
These can be adapted to pretty much any sport plane. I would just need some simple dimensions .. We will post pricing and ordering info soon, or please PM/email for info . We do also update our Facebook page, so it may be a good way to keep in touch on anything new we have out.

We use mostly a PolyJet ( objet) which will run down to 20 microns, but we never need to go beyond 40 actually. A $250K printer is not realistic for us, so we actually co-op on several printers with a partner.
What we do have right in our own shop however is 3D CNC routing/cutting as well as laser ..
Here is the latest we have worked up

this is a good alternative to our fully animated T-OLED HUD which is fixed in size, and also more costly..

All best,

Some updates on whats in the works since the last update on this thread
Full Eurofighter cockpits are in print. These are as scale as it gets with every feature realistic to replicate there ..
SHOCKWAVE dash panels
CARF Tucano cockpit kits, and fully custom ready to go cockpits. Available with MFDs , lighting, and HUD options
HUDS. We can make these to any dimensions. Standard sizes are on our site.
Assortnemts od bezels, instruments, radios, etc for your custom cockpits.
1/6 scale general aviation seat .. can be scaled to any size .. Soon we will have a highly detailed Martin Baker seat!! and inany scale desired !
And yes, we do also handle Metalmorphing
I am always open for suggestions and ideas for scale parts to be designed and produced. We have several projects in the works which have been requested by you guys. The F-18 is one of these, as well as several others ,,

I still need a full lightweight cockpit for my Sky E Master (Skymaster E Series) F-18. I posted the dimentions on the first page. It's criminal that it has to fly like this...

Its in the works. I have concentrated my efforts working based on the Yellow AC twin version, however once I have the complete model, i will be able to scale it to your dimensions, or any other for that matter .. It will be extremely detailed. We need to take your F-18 out of the life of crime! !! lol

Speaking of that, are you going to do a 1/6th scale F16 cockpit? Im picking up a Skymaster version in the near future. Or did I miss that announcement?

You could say im doing ALL scales ( pun slightly intended )
Once i have a cockpit model designed, I can scale it to any scale. All that needs to be done is to fit around any openings/parts that may be unique to any particular version of a model. Also, some details are not possible in smaller scales. I am able to pull off printing down to .1MM in detail features ( this means for instance that the smallest text that is embossed or engraved can not have any part of a letter thinner than .1mm )
I really like 1/6 scale personally. Its a good size to work with, and allows for a lot of detail, and of course, the best pilot figures all come in 1/6 also

Hi Voy,
Excellent work in the CAD, looking very nice and i am looking forward to them becoming available.
Please replace the HUD display with something that the eurofighter can really display Heres a HUD-Shot in gun mode;
http://theaviationist.com/2012/04/26/typhoon-kill/
Also .... can the HUD display data with your etching method be seen from all angles? Full-scale-HUDs are blank unless seen exactly from pilots eye position....
Cheers
Hank

For a really scale look, the HUD glass would be clear from most angles, with just a slight glow. I will have a version set up like this , with the etched screen actually being on the projection bottom part, but like you said, it wont be visible from most angles.
Most customers have wanted to outline and draw attention to the hud and have wanted good visibility, even in direct sun. "neat/cool" over "scale" ... same with content as to what is displayed. .. I know most jets don't have terrain displays on the HUD ( except for the french on the Rafale , lol ) .. I can make these basically any way someone may want. I might list HUD types as diferent "options" when i post these on the store .. like this scale HUD content
all best,
bezels , radios, switches , etc and other part will be finally listed tonight .. Its easy to get busy making this stuff, but its useless until posted :| lol
