Hello Sysiek,

I think it is far too much for this glider. You will risk breaking the tail, rudder and elevators due to excess heat and thrust on the stabs.
I have one with the P100 on it and flies just great. This glider is not built to take the abuse of a P160...

200 would be better for vertical, 160 may not give unlimited!

yea the p20 is a bit lame really...vt 80 will be great....my P100 makes it rock and roll ...the speed takes time to build up though, but once its moving it feels good..slows down nice with full flaps...I make new horns for the flaps so can get past 90 degree down with them...slows up really well

I did flown one with k-80 and was just ok the vt -80 have little more power and much faster-respond with better fuel economy ,the k-80 blanik will have k-100g next week it should do better with k-100 ,I wish the will do the blanik v tail instead the scale one.

I planned on using the original tail fins, but needs at least another 20% surface area so will be making another plan, have 2 idea's in the mind at the moment...will keep you posted..

I think two ruders will work better ,I was thinking about the same and using the two rudders instead the original elevators .+extend the fuselage a nother 3-6" usually the v tails glider a little longer

Having a ball with it!!

From last weekend.

Don't know if this group is still alive or not. Would the new K-45 with 9.9 # thrust be enough for just climbing to alt. no acro? or would the k-60 at 12.2 # be a better choice? Thanks for a reply, Don

I've bought the K60 Ali had on his Blanik, and if it was ok for him, i'm sure it will be fine for me.

I fly it with a Wren44 Gold, once on step you can do any maneuver you want.
The nice thing about the 44 is that once you set correct down thrust you will notice little to no trim changes between min and max throttle.
P.S get the spoilers, they work amazingly! Be carfule with them and they will add to the fun of this plane.

Thanks Richard, I think I will go with the King tech K-45. It's a lot lighter than most, might cut down on the lead up front. Has anyone tried an air start? probably against AMA rule's.
