LiMN 3800 7.4 V for 180Rx ECU - ok?
I have several good LiMn 3800 packs and wanted to see if anyone is running their Jetcat 180 rx on a LiMn battery with/without any issues?
I have run LiMN in almost all of my jetcats, just adjusting the battery type in the gsu as needed.
Any reason the 180 RX might be any different?
Thanks
Dave

Works fine on my 120se and titans it's the same voltage as a lipo and will have the ability to deliver the current to start , I know the lion packs won't do a kero, start but the limg will.

Hi Dave, for 180 RX the best is 2cell lipo with 25 discharge rating or more. Duralite packs were okay for gas start. But, we need more discharge rate for the kero start. I was in the same boat and after talking with jetcat I am using 4200 MH 2cell lipo. Remember to change your setting of the turbine.

The LiMg's will easily start a kero start P-200, which according to Bob can pull 20+ amps initially when the kero plug is lit and the initial engagement of the starter.
Dave, use it. It'll be fine on the 180 rx. I used it on my 180rx until the battery was at it's end.
