well i tried the log out log in thing to keep me logged in ............but that doesn't work either. still have to log in EVERY time i come back to the site.
i guess i shouldn't have said it can't get worse....because it has. is the government running this? because it's that bad.

Don't know what they have done, but it now logs me in automatically, the only real criticism I have at the moment is that the forum you are in is not available at the bottom of any thread in that forum, so you have to scroll back to the top to get to the forum beginning.

Keep in mind; as already stated by RCU, the previous forum software became unsupportable. In the industry, when vendors cease to support legacy software you are forced to upgrade or terminate the service. RCU delayed the upgrade as long as they could. Pay now or pay later.
To keep this in perspective: In the aviation/ aerospace world you can't always count on the success of a new or updated aircraft design. But one thing you can ALWAYS count on. Pilots WILL complain until they learn and get used to the new machine.

gotta wonder why they did not just buy the original software out, and continue it for themselves?
surely it would have cost em less in the long run than this abomination is going to cost in lost advertisers and lost members.

Well at last progress in dealing with the log in issue. At least you stay logged in. However if you view a thread and want to go back to the jets page you have to refresh the page after going back. This is a bug that needs fixing and when it is done will at least make the site useable. I also see the list of viewers on line is now at the bottom of the page.

The format change is of no concern to me. Change is constant in the internet world. I advertise on RCU and am concerned with reliability and correct function of the website. I think things are headed in the right direction - RCU, keep working at it - I think it will be better than ever, when the bugs are worked out.. John r.

A few suggestions, the name of the thread should be at the top of each post and the thread domain should be at the bottom of a thread, all as before, other than that I am getting used to it.

Personally I wake up every single day thankful that the biggest problems in my life are a few temporary bugs with RCU... LOL..

Thread contributors do not have their location displayed over on left. Mine sometimes displays but most don't. I wonder if thats just a settings issue or do most people not list where they are from? It would be nice to know where each person is from...

But the website I visit most often blowing up its format to the dismay of almost all its users? That's a problem I might be able to have some impact on. Can you blame me for trying? (also, there's no guarantee at all that a horrible change of format will be temporary)

As much as I can appreciate the work that goes into a migration, I think it was not handled correctly, or though out properly. Plus, IB is using their own software which may not be up to the task. Certainly, their programmers aren't.
