Default Length of SM Hawk 100 pipe

Can someone measure their pipe in the SM 1:4-3/4 Skymaster Hawk 100?

length and diameter please, and whether it is the BVM pipe or SM.

thanks!

Joe,

I can measure mine and get back to you but the BVM pipe is slightly larger in dia than the SM. I have the Goshawk not the 100 but I assume the pipes are the same?
The BV pipe requires some grinding of the former that holds the vert stab fwd pin and also some grinding of the wood holding the pivot pin for the aribrake and also a few mm of the ply that supports the pipe at the aft end to fit. At least tha tis what I had to do.

Are you getting a pipe from another vendor in CA....? I am not using my SM pipe if you are interested ...

Just curious. I went with the BV "upgrade" so far it has been fine. I have 14 flights only but running a 180RX dialed down a bit.

Dave

thanks for taking the time to respond with the offer to measure. i was looking for the lenght because i wanted to consider a Tam pipe. i have had good success with his pipes (admittedly limitied because i have more planes than flying time) but he needs the size to make one.

you can send me email or via RCU, which ever is easier. i'll send you a seperate email.

thanks!
