From memory it was about 6 - 8mm at the root of the aileron. Made a big difference on days when there is little wind. If we have a breeze down the strip you could land in a really short distance.
On my first flight with crow I had it set up on a switch so I could get rid of it if it upset the the model. I just got a but of height, deployed full flap and then tried the crow. Didn't effect the handling in the slightest but much easier to land.

Wren 80 DCi on mine, full flap (maximum you can achieve, I think 100mm or more on mine), easy landing on our 300ft concrete rwy, using half of this, some braking yes could help.
When feeling little short, even 2/3 clicks of thrust is appreciated to make perfect spot landing.
But I also think a lot depends on you CG setting and how you can keep the AoA at the very last phase of your landing...

Took my Xcalibur to the local field today since my eldest (20) only shows a passing interest in the hobby, but commented he had never flown a turbine. Set up a buddy lead with my JR XG-14 and let him loose! Didn't expect him to struggle, as although he does little flying and is away at University most of the time, he takes to different models easily. 8 minutes and didn't need to take over once. Wants a Mibo A-10 next!
This Xcalibur has around 150 flights on it now and I still haven't needed to do any service work.

Alright, maiden yesterday! Finally! Got 4 fun flights. Thank you all for the help. The elevator settings for the flaps were perfect!
Regarding crow... I wound up using 6mm, worked awesome. Doing stall tests up high, without crow at some point the right wing would drop hard. With the crow, at full elevator it just mushed straight again. Made me a believer, cheap insurance, and I've now tied it directly to my full flaps.

Test flown a couple with Wren 70's Plenty of power. Bit more residual thrust that our usual JetCat set up. but with enough flap it slows up fine

Mine was the silver military scheme, bit tricky to see in some skies, but one of the best turbine models I've owned (not sure I should have sold it!!). My friend I fly with has that RAF scheme and it really shows up well, really good contrast to the underside.
I really like that new scheme. I've gone with the Xcalibur Plus and I'm hoping it will be just as good.
Loads of stuff to read though on here.

Well started the build last night and TBH for the price im not 100% impressed, the threaded hole that holds the canopy down was all messed up so unded up having to retap the thread and now see that when you fit the canopy it doesnt pull the canopy down tight against the fuzz and leaves a 8mm gap, so will have to put some packing underneath to this fit better. for the money i expect a better build quality and not have to redo parts that should have been checked at QC

The first one of these has just been collected. Quick assembly check before taking it away showed a good all around fit.
Paul B had our first ever Xcalibur sports scheme and now has the first yellow one too!

Another 7 flights on my Xcalibur today...! We were blessed with zero wind so I tried CROW..... I configured it to come in with full flaps, about 6mm as recommended on here.
It work brilliantly, I'm a convert and my Xcalibur won't be going back to no-CROW.
Normally in zero wind my plane would just float on and on down the runway but with CROW in place I actually had to hold a small amount of throttle on to get to the desired touch-down point. I'd then lower the throttle and down she came slow as you like.
Gentlemen, its a setting well worth doing if you have a fair amount of residual thrust on your turbine.
Happy days, can't wait until the next session......
