Well just had first chance to fly today to check out the two patch antennas I installed to a micro 12ch and experienced no problems what so ever. I had the earphones on and was listening for any range problems, I set the range warning up at 50% but heard nothing as I expected. When I get back home I will have a look at the db figures and see what they are like in comparison when the micro just had the two wire antennas.
At least the mod is now tested and we know it works as we expected it to.
The flight was also a test for the Falcon as on the last flight I managed to clip a concrete post that someone had stuck up in the air! The left wing panel the outward half exploded on clipping the post, I rebuilt the outer half, so all in all a successful day of testing
So next job is to set up in my CARF Hawk....
Alan
Have checked data and RSSI on Rx's was averaging 55-65 during flight, comparing the patch antennas with the wire antennas does show better db figures for the patch etc

My Feedback: (2)
Alan,
I sent a PM last week for a quote on the Weatronic cable(adapter to RF module) you are building and haven't heard. Are they still available? I would like price on cable 200mm long and 6ea extra connectors if you can spare them.
My direct email is: [email protected] or contact me here.
Thanks
