jet legend maiden success
just a few pictures from the maiden of my 1/6 f16 picture taken at the ex ww2 woodbridge airbase, no video I am afraid.
I am very happy with it so far, first class service from jeff at zedjet as always. and thanks to dennis for the pictures

Well Done Jay, very nice colours it looks fantastic.
Let us all know what turbine you have pushing it along and the final dry weight it come out at, I understand the new ones are around 30lbs
My early version fly's really well, I am very pleased with it, is yours the newer version if so I look forward to hearing of any improvements that may have been made.
I see from the second pic like mine it sits slightly nose down just like the full size, because of that I have found I need a little flap for take-off to help it rotate more easily.
How have you set up the control surfaces on yours? "Flaperon + elevator" "elervons+Flap" or switch between the two.

its powered by a wren 160 which is a good combo cruises at just over half power with futaba radio 6014 with a orbit powerjack and hitek servos, I do have flaperon mixed in but not used them yet apart from that its the normal set up ailerons and elevator.
the weight is something I don't know as I never bother with it just put in what you need and no more then get on with and fly it, but around 35lb would be about right I think
I had to pack the nose retract unit up about 4mm and stiffen the nose gear spring to get the stance you see but it rotates ok, but I am going to try the flaperons as soon as I get chance
away for two weeks now so wont get another chance for a while

Thanks for the info, its always good to compare notes.
Mine too has a Wren 160 and as you say is plenty. I'm getting 6-7 minuets on the two std tanks alone (3.4lt) with a enough for a go round hopefully two!
I asked about the stance and your flap setting as mine without flaps is a bit of a ground hog taking a fair bit of a run up and speed to rotate.
My setup now is to use 20mm of flap but no ailerons for take off relying on the tailerons, then as I bring the flap off and gear in it switches over to aileron + elevator.
The first flights were just taileron and flaps no ailerons but its now nicer to fly and feels better flying with ailerons and elevator separated
I've not had a lot of luck using flap during the landings, it got a bit "squirmy" with or with out ailerons mixed in so stick with a clean wing bring the nose back and she's a peach to land. I also like you stiffened the nose spring to stop squirming under power during take-off but did not find room to move ether the nose up or the tail down by relocating the U/C. I think you will be pleasantly suprized if its a late one when or if you get a chance to weigh it. I have been told by Jeff that there now noticeably lighter than the earlier version. My F16,s weight dry with a full 8oz in the UAT, PB Gemini, 2x 3,000ma, 11ch JR DMSS Rx, 4,000ma ECU pack, Pilot and 200g of lead to get the CG right comes to 34lb exactly.
I wish you many enjoyable flights and hope you have as much fun with it as I'm having with mine.

Thanks Dantley.
Such hunger to enjoy the characteristics of an F16! probably should stick to flying the flash for now but looking at all these f16's really makes me want to fly mine!
Just looking to gather further info on this model such as elevator neutral position so I can start setting my elevators.

if you can fly a flash you will have no problem with the f16, the elevator neutral position is with the trailing edge just above the speed brake top surface, still love flying mine just waiting for the 1/6 yak 130 to become available and the cougar, then I need to decide which one I want the most
