Default Tomahawk Viperjet XXL

Been sorting out all the crap on the HDD camcorder (downside to 100GB capacity is you never seem to have to empty it!!) and had a couple of videos of my Tomahawk Viperjet XXL....

http://youtu.be/3mefC98hC7Y http://youtu.be/21DHfqKHMYE (think this one is still processing!)

Nothing too exciting in the vids but it's a truly great flying model. Despite being on the heavier side with the full cockpit, pilot, P200 and paint job it is still very nimble and able to turn as tight as you like yet still flies in a very solid, stable manner like the full size or, indeed, the very large model that it is.

Rgds,
Mark

Nice job Mark!
Looks great!
I prefer the non stabilized versions. The stabilized versions look like a simulator.
She fly's really nice!!

Nice Mark. Saw Ali's fly last Friday at Abingdon. Performs such great slow aerobatics for such a large model. Top of my want list.

Phil, it has the nav lights and fuselage strobes but they do seem a little dull. Don't know why, they're the same Aurora light setup that you installed on Al's XXL. I have the 2 x 3 sets of lights in the scale wingtips but seeing as a Viper isn't really a Viper without the winglets then looks like someone (!!) might have to move them into the wings for me

I'm just not sure what to do with the engine. The P200 flies it in a really nice scale fashion with enough vertical for about 7 or 8 seconds before it starts to run out of steam. With a BF300 it turns into a real 'sport' machine. Question is, do I keep a scale model and fly it in a scale manner and get a sport jet to fly in a sports fashion or shove another 21lbs of thrust up its ass and fly the Viper as if's an Ultra Flash!?!?!

I'll swap you my 160 for your 200, then you can have some interesting time flying it with that!

Oh, and if you could throw in a large Futura mate that would be great!

Go for the sport jet option.

I'm guessing the Paritech version of this Viperjet is the same as the Tomahawk version...so no one will mind me sharing this vid of a flight Ali did at the Baldock meet this weekend.

Al, is that a standard or heavy laid up kit? Also, what's your AUW dry?
