Build update....almost there, just need to run fuel lines and install all electronics in the fuse. I will post some photos soon. Lets see some pix from Florida Raul. Support from Jets Models during my build has been great.

Finally maidened the Ultimatun today and it flew great. Put 5 flights on it, all very uneventful. Very stable in flight with the installed demon gyro. The build had a hiccup or two but overall for a brand new airframe it came together nicely. If anyone has any specific questions about this jet I will be happy to try and answer them here. Raul has provided the decals but I have not applied them yet. Will post pix when I do.

Rex,
I had a minor alignment problem with the elevator servos and the precut slots for them in the stabs. It required that I enlarge the slit in each stab about 1-2 mm in width. No big deal. A larger issue was securing the wings to the fuse. I chose to add a wing bolt at the leading edge of each wing where they meet the fuse. This required drilling a hole in each wing and installing a blind nut and associated mounting ply and hysol inside the fuse. The rest of the build was pretty straightforward. There were no instructions included with my kit, but there were several pictures of a plane already assembled to refer to which was very helpful. Raul was also very responsive to all my requests during the build.
just an fyi, if you ordered the wire harness be ready to do alot of crimping. There are no terminations on any of the wires.
The plane flys like it is on rails with the demon gyro.

Thanks for the info Steve. I saw they had wing bolts on the two demo planes at FL Jets and I think, anti-rotation pins at the front and rear of the wing roots too (but not certain). The setup looked pretty close to the same as Tomahawk uses on their 1.9m Futura. I have built two of those for friends...looks pretty much the same setup all the way around.

Rex,
Yes the plane comes with anti rotation pins at both wing roots plus one bolt adjacent to the spar. I thought it necessary to add the addional bolt. Have about 20 flights so far. I used the decals provided by Raul along with some customizing of my own.

Received my ultimatum a couple of weeks back, really pleased with the quality of the paint and the vinyl, the whole airframe is really light and strong with pretty much every former being carbon and wood sandwich.
setup will be as follows.
jet central cheetah
electron retracts
powerbox competition with power box lipos
futaba sbus servos
guided by futaba 18mz
really looking forward to see how this will fly and hoping to have it ready for the start of the uk show season.
pictures attached, and yes I know the elevators are upside down, I got a bit carried away throwing it together for a photo opportunity haha

Carlos, What is the CG position recommended for the Ultima-tun. Also, what is the recommended servo size for the stabs?
Recommendations for the servo arm size and placement of the horn on the flaps?
Thank you!
