Not sure where to ask for this since it is not directly a Jeti question but since some of you use cortex.

I have some Jr servos MPH83S MK II linear hall plugged into my cortex and CB200.
They have a Slow Start function which works fine when plugged into the CB200 directly but once I go through the Cortex the slow start is lost.
I have done a rerouting of the power by splicing my outgoing servo lead or extension into the signal leads from the cortex cable loom. It now works for the Jr servos.

But now for some reason this does not work with the Futaba BLS172SV which has a slow start feature too

Any ideas on how to get this to work?

Are there any plans for upgrades from the DS 16 to 24 channels? Perhaps available through the EX bus?

Thanks,

I primarily fly my models with a DC-16, but have a DS-14/Basic, for wireless buddy box use as well as to allow other pilots to fly my models (using wireless buddy box.)

I had found that folks did not like the width of the DC-16 Tx or the stick length, but there is universal acknowledgement that the DS-14 feels perfect. In spite of plastic vs. aluminum gimbals, the hall effect sensors seem to impart a precision that is noticeable to these skilled pilots (Trex700, 3D models, etc.) I also use my DS-14 wirelessly with my sims (RF 7.5 and Phoenix) and it is perfect for sim work.

I also own a Spektrum DX-9 (downsized from DX-18 when I switched to Jeti; needed a Spektrum Tx for BNF models - now use a Spektrum bridge, but that's another post.)

I have a lot of respect for Spektrum quality and customer service; quite similar to Jeti support - both outstanding. I help a lot of my fellow club members with radio issues and have found that brownout occurs primarily due to installation problems; same could happen with Jeti. For example, binding servos that draw excessive current can drop the Rx voltage and induce a brownout. This is only on example, but is totally under our individual control by systematic installation procedures.

I prefer Jeti primarily because of the programming flexibility for my complex models as well as the gimbal precision. I do not want to dissuade you from going the Jeti route; I've never looked back and even added a DS-14/Basic. I just want you to be sure that you are making the jump for the right reasons.

It's Simple with Jeti Radio you just know, you can see all the data on the screen. You can setup alarms, create data logs.

I setup everything for the CB200 months ago, everything was OK, now it doesn't show in Device explorer.
Both Rx are EX Bus, Dual path, both RX show in Explorer, the radio works fine, the telemetry for the CB shows on the display, but something has happened.
Seems strange that it's working OK but doesn't show in explorer.
Any suggestions?

Because you are asking questions that nobody has any answers. The DS/DC-24 platform is still in development.

Did you do any software updates? Try re-flashing the firmware.

That's fine but a "we don't know at this time" could have been a good response. I know the DS/DC-24 is not out yet as I am looking forward to it's release but the question was about channel expandability of the DS/DC-16. Thanks.

Is it possible to set the origin on the MGPS EX sensor automatically every time it powers up and acquires the sufficient number of satellites?

Thanks

If there is, I haven't found it yet. I like to use the mid point of the runway as the origin. I just wheel the plane out on the runway and use the Jetibox to set the origin. The unit remembers this origin everytime it powers up. If I ever fly at a different field, I just reset the origin.

I've managed to answer my own question after a few hours working on it and the help of Google.

1) Assign a spare channel to reset the GPS Origin
2) Set travel to -100%/+100%/ 0 subtrim
3) Assign it to the engine run switch, so on selecting run, the GPS origin reset channel goes from -100 to +100
4) Plug the red connector of the MGPS to the appropriate receiver servo output.
5) Using the JetiBox application, locate the MGPS menu Setting -> Set Origin By and set "ImpulseInput".

Now you can use AltRel. telemetry to give you a height above your starting point, without having to worry about manually resetting the GPS at every flying site. The difference between the startup location and the runway should be negligible, especially for altitude.

Just purchased several 7 channel receivers and this is my first time attempting to update/verify firmware. I downloaded version V3.23 from jeti website. I created a folder for receiver firmware updates and I extracted the files. I double clicked the .exe file and received something like "this file is not a Win32 file" and automatically deleted application. Are there different firmware files for Windows/Linux/Mac users?
My OS is Windows Vista Premium 32bit.
Any suggestions?

I guess I have been lucky But I agree, time to move up as Microsoft will soon stop supporting Vista just like XP.

Just a follow up to my last post-nothing I did worked so I created a new airplane and copied the data- the CB200 now shows in Device Explorer.
There was some type of glitch in the original file, have no idea what it was.

I have four MUI 30 on a E4 expander.
Can I get telemetry from each MUI and if so, how?

Good morning Jeti experts, I'm ready to purchase (this weekend the Jeti DS-14. I finally noticed the DS-14 has two less switches than the DS-16. My question is can I purchase the extra switches and install them into the empty switch locations?

rcjets_63, you may not remember but I'm the guy building the PST Reaction in the Thunderbird scheme. Finally got it painted and I'm assemblying now.

I have been reading all the lessons on this post and its been very helpful.

Thanks,

2FAS
