2FAS.... Excellent decision.. You will love the radio. I have a DS14 and I did add the two switches and it's no problem. Just make sure the switches are for a "DS" system and don't forget to purchase the switch "Nuts" in matching color (flat Black).
After opening the back cover "remove" the battery connection and then gently tap out the plastic plugs covering the switch holes. Then install the switches make sure the ribbon cable supplied with the switch is in correct orientation (look at the other installed switches) then fasten the switch with the Nuts use a "switch nut tools" (sold by Esprit). Make sure everything is secure, plug the battery back in and place back cover.
The system will recognize the switches automatically...
Enjoy..

I bought the Accelorometer, the telemetry Controls, and Alarms 20. Got it as close as possible to my DS16. I have all models in both transmitter and they server as backup to each other ..

Thanks for the info. My shopping cart is all loaded with the right accessories and switches. I'm currently using the Hitec Aurora 9 so this will be a big change for me. Good to know there is a great source of help with my transition.
Thank you,

Good morning Jeti experts, I'm ready to purchase (this weekend the Jeti DS-14. I finally noticed the DS-14 has two less switches than the DS-16. My question is can I purchase the extra switches and install them into the empty switch locations?
rcjets_63, you may not remember but I'm the guy building the PST Reaction in the Thunderbird scheme. Finally got it painted and I'm assemblying now.
I have been reading all the lessons on this post and its been very helpful.
Thanks,
2FAS

2FAS I just went through this procedure on the DS14. I want to add one thing to what LA Jet Guy stated. The two plugs that you will remove have a two locking tabs that you depress from inside the Tx Case.
Take a very narrow flat bladed device and depress the tabs while pushing out the plug. DON"T simply try to force the plug out!
You can add features as you have the need!
The battery is a 5200 Li-Ion. Not a 3200 Lipoly

This Friday and Saturday we will be at the Florida Jets, if somebody would like to see any Jeti radios, Sensors, Central Boxes or anything from Emcotec just stop by.
We we are also bringing our limited edition Red Racer and Air Force radio systems.

Hi Guys,
I am finally getting my tx/rx setup for real..I need some help.
I had set up my two receivers with Cbox200 for my A10 and had that set for that plane in dual path mode. I made a new model for my F16 and am using the same receiver/Cbox. Will the transmitter continue to use this now as dual path or do I need to figure it out again how to tell it the same for this F16?
I also can't get my lights to stop flashing…(BVM F16 PNP despite two full travel assignments.
Finally how do I do a mix for rudder to nose gear that is active only when the gear is down? I did this all of the time in my 10x but am not sure where to do it here.
I know these are kind of basic questions but thanks for your help.
Dave

Did you copy the model ot di you make a new model from scratch? If you copied, dual path should be configured, otherwise you have to reconfigure dual path for the F16.
For the the rudder to nose gear you may configure a mixer and enable the mixer only when gear is down; use the switch for mixer enable that you use for the gear function. this may also be a logical switch.
Light problem is very specific, think we need some more details of the light control electronics.

My day at cursing at my Jeti
This has been discussed before but:
The new menu for aileron differential works well to reduce down travel of the aileron if you modify the down deflection value on the ground.
Problem starts when you want to do the adjustments while flying. If you assign a knob to the function and a % adjustment it adjusts both aileron not just the down moving aileron.
It has been suggested to reduce the max travel limit to stop the upward moving aileron from going any further. That works well at full deflection, BUT with any lesser deflection you get the upward moving aileron being still affected by the knob
Any suggestion?
EDIT: Never mind ZB answered me that this will be fixed in a future update

Here's a problem that has me stumped; perhaps another Jeti user has a solution.
For my Gripen, I'm using the sequencer in the transmitter to control the doors and the retracts and it works just great. The doors operate in "Mode 2" (doors normally closed and only open while the gear is raising/lowering and then close again). I also have an MBar to give me an indication if I have an air leak.
The full scale Gripen also has Mode 2 doors, but has the extra functionality as follows:
- when the plane is parked, the doors are open
- the doors remain open until the plane's taxi speed exceeds 20 km/hr and then they close and revert to Mode 2 operation
- after the flight & landing, the doors remain closed until the aircraft is parked and the engine is shut down, at that point they automatically open
I am happy enough to simulate this functionality using a manual switch to close the doors when taxiing out, and opening the doors after shutting down the turbine. The switch needs essentially to override the sequencer (switch down = doors open, switch up = sequencer has control of doors for retraction/extension of landing gear).
I have tried to program this using the sequencer and by adding a switch-activated mix. No joy. It appears that the sequencer output for the doors overrides all other inputs on the door channel.
I also tried adding another sequence activated my the manual switch. (Seq 1 door operation for retracts and Seq 2 gear operation where both are activated by the gear switch, and Seq 3 door operation using the manual switch). No joy. Since both Seq 1 and Seq 3 are selected to drive the door channel, the sequence with the lower number (Seq 1) is followed and Seq 3 is ignored.
Any suggestions?
Regards,
Jim

Quick question...
I set my radio and CB200 with updates in August/September.
Have there been any major changes for me to go an redo the update? I didn't know how much repeat setup I might need to do if I update. I am running my DS16 with two receivers and the CB200 on double path.
Thanks
Dave
