Pete, a Powerbox lead will work for updates if you have one,

Hi Gary, Have you been successful with this? I tried it with the PB cable last night and couldn't get a connection to the receiver. Also tried downloading additional drivers but, still no luck. Is there a trick to it or should it be plug and play?

thanks

Mike

Hi Mike, I have both types but tbh I've not had cause to try it but I know several guys have managed it successfully from other forums. They certainly look exactly the same,
Gary.

Hi Zb , just to clarify, my CB200 and R3 combo is working fine. The set up was pretty easy, I'm just trying to update the firmware to the most current.

I don't have the Jeti usb cable because it was out of stock. I do have a Powerbox USB cable which a few people have said will work as well but, doesn't seem to be working for me.

I'm going to give it another shot tonight and see if I can do the updates. I'll order the jeti cable from you as soon as you get them.

Thanks

Mike

HI, yes I had the same problem with the curve on the tray, seems nobody else has used the tray, the tTX feet are in the way, to fix, just add 4 washers per side to the rear, fixed. Or get longer standoffs at the rear.

HI all, what's good about not having it work from the start is that you learn about the TX so much quicker, you travel through all the setting to see what you did wrong, after 2 days of searching, I know the TX pritty good now and am embarranced. I thought number 1 servo was under the switch.

I have stock if you are really stuck for a USB lead. No idea how much it would cost to ship accross the pond but I can find out if you want.

Thanks John, I managed to find a dealer over here with one in stock so, I have ordered it. I could not get the Powerbox USB cable to work with Jeti.

The USB cable is such an important part that Jeti should concider selling it as a possible add on option with the Tx when you order one. At least it would make people aware of the need to at least have one.
Too many guys have been stuck with the update problem

The USB for the transmitter is included when you get the DS-16, for what the USB cables cost it would be a great idea if the receiver USB cable was also included, it would make for a much better user experience.

I know with the Cortex Gyro a USB cable is included with each one....

That is what I meant of course, the USB for updating software of Rx, CB and so on. But thanks for clarifying it.

Look we found the way for full Power Redundancy and Cortex Stabilization for smaller jets if somebody does not want to use Central Box 200/400.

Nice setup Rcpete. Do you fly thumb or pinched? Just wondering, I fly pinched and if you do I was questioning if your setup had advantages over the DC tray style radio.

Ok, I received the Jeti update cable and updating the receivers was quick and painless. Although the PB update cable "looks" the same, it wouldn't work for me.

Hi, I am a finger flyer, this is my first real tray, so I will not now if I like it, until I actually fly with it. The tray feels pritty good, but the sliders feel ackward at first feel.

Also, anyone know when Behotec and Jet Central turbine sensers will come out, would be cool to do adjustments to the turbine from the transmitter.

Can I use an additional extension for my r3 to central box? I have 2 satellites with the cb 200 and would like to get one a little farther away than the standard length extension.
can they be extended? Do they need to be equal length?

thanks

Interesting Mike, I wonder if it works the other way round then?

I'm not sure what the maximum length is but any reasonable length should be fine. I've used 18" extensions without any problems. They don't need to be equal length.

I'm running 26" extension from the tip of my nose in my Dolphin S back to my receiver.

If you are a "pincher", probably the DC series would have been the better choice, because you can reach the sliders without breaking your fingers. I also have a DC-16 and a 14 in a tray, and I prefer the feel of the tray type a lot over the handheld 14 in a tray, although it is a lot heavier and bulkier. But it all comes down to personal preference, it might just take some time to get used to it.

The Vspeak converter works with all Hornet ECUs, that includes Behotec turbines as well (see http://www.vspeak-modell.de/en/ecu-converter/hornet). Gaspar @ Xicoy also has his own telemetry module that works with Jetcentral turbines (see http://www.xicoy.com/catalog/product...roducts_id=336), but I don't know if it allows to change the ECU settings through the radio.

we have run up to 36 inches in test..

Let me clearly say this though.. Use HIGH quality leads if you have long signal leads.. Not for the Load, but You want high signal quality and minimum voltage drop. Dont be surprised if you see 1/2 volt drop from the CB to the Rx.. set your alarms accordingly..

During your range check, look at your quality numbers as well.. it will tell you what you need to know.. then go back after the maidens and look at the data of signal quality and signal..

I have only had to reposition an antenna two times after a maiden.
