For scale guys, notice how much different the full scale T45 is from a Hawk. its not just the landing gear. The wing tips are squared off, the horizontal stabs are squared off, and the vertical is taller than on the Hawk. Plus other smaller details.
it is amazing there is still no manufacturer making a T45 model.

Hi Gary, thanks for posting that, I watched that probably 30 times last year looking forward to my 2103 project!
I spent last year wokring to get my SM Hawk to look like a T45. As above though, there are so many rdifferences, it becomes a big deal. The wing shape, leading edges, smurfs, single ventral fin, side air brakes, different nose shape to allow wider nose gear, landing gear door covers and strut locking and also the wing light position is more on the tip of the wing.
Fortunately the SM looks good and flies well....this was a flight trying a camera, tame flight as I wasnt sure if the camera was going to come loose...

Hope you guys have a fun building season!

Is that the one that was built for WJM?
I dont know of a kit?
That looks great! I would buy one and start tomorrow! The T45 is great. Simple straight pipe, great gear position w trailing link, good speed envelope and aerobatics and it is scale!! I hope someone can make an accurat model sometime soon. My SM flies great but I would love to have the detail in the one above plus the size as seen above!

Dave,
The T45 is a one off built by Paul Dunkley in the UK. You are correct and it was flown at the last 2 or 3 world masters(but not in Switzerland).
I have had many chances to see the model up close and its an absolutely masterpiece.
The intention was for scalejets.com to kit it but I seem to recall when I saw Paul a few months ago he said that this has fallen through so I am afraid at the moment its a one off.
Geoff.
