Good evening all, the rest of the F16 showed up today so I snapped a few pics of her put together. As with all Skymaster airframes it is very well built and the fit and finish are very good. I will be starting a build thread for the airframe, stay tuned for more!

Wow that is nice. Will a P-180RXi be enough for that sized bird?

Hi there, I wouldn't go with anything smaller than a Kingtech 210, or 46 lb of thrust. Its a really big airframe!! I plan on using the 210 in mine.

The light kit was not available from Skymaster for the first run of airframes. They should have it available in the next couple of months. I believe Details for scale has a kit that will work for the 1/5 scale.

Well, I've overcome the biggest obstacle on this new build for 2015, I got my wife's buy in. First step is to select a paint scheme that I'll enjoy for many years to come.

So far this one is tugging at me...

thats a great choice amigo. Love the sand soup and spinach on the Fighting Falcon. I bet the JB220 or an Olympus HP will be perfect motors for this bird., especially loaded up.

Good choice. I had the same scheme in the 1/6 size. Presents well.

Tony/Anton,
If I install the rudder servo per instruction (gear forward and servo label aft), the servo arm pin does not align with slot in rudder. The servo arm length measures 15mm (100mm measured from center of aft rudder post to servo arm per instructions) and the servo arm pin is about 5mm aft of slot in rudder. I have turned the servo to face aft and the servo pins now aligns in the center of slot on rudder. My question is, was this intentional? From all the pictures/videos and seeing your F-16 at FJ, the servo was installed forward ( per instructions). Changing the servo orientation to align servo pin with slot in rudder, this changes the direction of the servo arm and now pulling away from hinge line. Is this a problem?
Thanks,
TJ

Does anyone here have any experience with FEJ F-16's? I know they have had a rough start and gotten a bad wrap at events, so on... but how do they compare to skymaster Jets?

I'm inclined towards the larger model from FEJ; my main concern is longevity of the airframe and structural failure.

I'm looking at the Skymaster F-16 1/5 vs. Fly Eagle Jet F-16 1/4.6

Please weigh in.

My suggestion would be to go to the top of the main jet fourm page and search "FEJ" then expect to be there at least a week reading about Fly Eagle Jets. I think you find you anwser there.

I dont want to muddy up this thread with FEJ junk but there is a very respectable builder in the UK who is doing an unbiased review and build of a brand new FEJ F16 kit.
Its garbage.

Hi Anton:

Are you close to offering a kit complete with lights?
