Carf Chengdu J-10 3D
Is this bird brand new or have I just missed it on their website? See http://carf-models.com/public_carf/p...ant&proId=3385

Its an updated "facelift" version of the Elster J-10. CARF have been working on this for 6 months. Its more scale in outline and has a few other refinements. Its possible to build this big model to 10kg empty weight! Its more of an evolution to the 3-D Universe as it comes with the vector pipe, but this also has the rudder so knife edge is good. Stock packages are with alloy wing tube and gear legs, but carbon options are going to be available. Plus other things like the Elster carry rig which is really neat!
The latest RC Turbine mag has an advert on it.

Its available now. The first kits were delivered in September, as always it will take time to build up stock. Talk to your favourite rep, it can be ordered with colour swap if you like.

I have not bought one, but after flying it at Florida jets.. I wish I had. Having owned 2 Eurosport 3d's I can testify that this is a completely different animal. It so much more precise, stinger and faster! It flies more like a mono plane sports jet in the forward flight aspect than the Euro! If there is a speed restriction on this ( as there was with the Euro 3d) Then no body told the Carf Pilots! I watched Thomas Singer tear his version around in a manner more akin to a Ultra flash than a 3d delta. I ( Wrongly ) assumed that this would just be another 3d Delta! How wrong was I! Whilst it obviously excels at the hovering and flipping type manoeuvres that it was designed for. Its the fact that you can fly a long axial slow roll at a decent lick of speed. Or a complete set of knife edge manoeuvres, with no stress or stick juggling to counteract coupling. I think that a J10 is going to have to go on my wish list of models to own. One of these with the new generation of 200 + sized turbines that are now becoming available in a 160 size case would be a fun toy for sure !

There is a 210 Turbine that is just in the testing process that I am keeping a really close eye on! I am not sure if I am allowed to say any more, so I won't for now. ( Just in case ) All I can say is that its from a leading manufacturer that is getting glowing feedback from all that seem to switching over and using their products!
