F-16 roll over crash with engine still running.
Never seen this post here before..but just curious about the pulsating noise at the end?

Basil,
That sounds like a high energy ignitor for the engine. I remember on the DC-9,when I had the ignition in the high energy mode,you could hear a similar noise all the way in the cockpit,and definitely hear it clearly from outside. The pulsing noise is the exciter box building a charge,discharging to light the ignitor plug,and then repeating the process. We always had it on for takeoff and landing,to reduce the possibility of an engine failure.Take care,
