LOL. A "Rising Star" trainer! Not the first airframe that springs to mind for a pulse jet. Kudos to him for being the first to get that pulse jet flying (and I'm not counting the control line effort).

Would be interested to know what the ER90 costs in comparison?

That's quite close to what PulseJet Harry tried in his unsuccessful bid during the 2nd Great PulseJet Bet!!!

No thread on pulse jets is complete without mention of the late Roy Lever who flew a 4 x pulse jet Vulcan on the UK display circuit some years back.

For us Brits, back in the seventies and eighties we were lucky enough to be visited several times a year by Jo Koullen of Holland with his fantastic Pulse Jets.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_lf3NCmDx4

A few years ago, after putting this video on Youtube, I was contacted by Jo himself who had seen the video. I sent him some additional footage on a DVD. At that time, Jo was into restoring vintage British cars and still had all his aircraft moth-balled.

I'm just in the process of putting together a Turbine powered Skyrunner 300.

Thanks again to all of our International members for their contributions to this forum.

Here is a quick update on my contact with the AMA to clear up the meaning of some of the regulations in the 510-Q document concerning pulse jets in the US. There are none ...Greg Hahn was going to call me back on the issue and I haven't heard from him. I think all of the AMA people were back from California over a week ago, but still haven't heard back. I guess this was expected. I guess I'll call again on Monday.

Some Pictures of my Pulse jet powered F=86. Pictures were taken in 2001. Plane was built by a friend of mine, Dick Young, in the 60's It is in my shop now in need of some repair as it fell from the ceiling when it was on display at Phil's Hobby shop a few years ago. The fall broke the tail feathers off and damaged the canopy and one wing.............ARGH..............

Anyone have a set of plans or at least some detailed pics, for building a catapult for launching a pulse jet?
No sense me trying to reinvent one.
