Default Unsual rc flyover

This is fantastic. If you don't watch any of them, watch this but after you read the paragraph.

At Arrowhead Stadium Sunday, October 13, 2013....

As you know the budget cuts have eliminated the military flyovers at large events. Well, there's a group of guys in Kansas City who do some formation flying in their own planes and decided they'd volunteer to pick up the slack. They invited a couple of other groups to join them and before they knew it they had 48 guys with their homemade RC airplanes signing up to join in. If they had more time, they probably would have gotten an even larger group as people kept joining and a 49th was added near the event. One additional feature of the flyover was the use of pink smoke for cancer awareness. The folks from the Guinness Book were there and are expected to confirm it as the largest formation flight ever. And to top it off the crowd later set the record for the loudest gathering at a football stadium.

Hope you enjoy this short video as much as we did
.

Hi Roger,

I think there was a miss-print somewhere. That should have been "RV flyover."

One of my Buds at work was an F-16 pilot in the Bama Guard. Everyone in his squadron had an RV and they used to do 12 ships all the time. Probably some of the same guys...

Ah guys, those were *full-scale, manned, homebuilt Van RV airplanes* NOT RC airplanes. Check out the article...

http://www.eaa.org/news/2013/2013-10...ght-record.asp

I've seen a few good RC pilots fly some fairly decent formations, but there is NO WAY that could be done with RC planes - at least not without autopilot systems on them, and even then, *highly* unlikely!

This was a chain letter. This is why I hate chain letters.
