I see by the banner ads that the new power pack supports brush-less starter motors...this must be an industry first!

Jets Munt introduced a brushless starter motor about a year ago on their Merlin 140X. The electronics are all done by Gaspar, and he usually introduces new technology on his Merlins.

I want to say that concerns of leakage and failure are wholly unfounded. I have had many years of experience with every JC engine except the Bee. In all that time I never had issue with any fuel component.

I just sent my Rhino in for service and requested it be brought up to the current state of the art. I'm excited to see this new product from JC.

By position I assume orientation, there were no special requirements prior to this for the pump and the solenoid, the only difference now is that they are packaged in a box.

The answer from Jet Central via Eric Clapp:

"The only orientation not recommended is the fuel lines
and connectors pointing up or down.
The reason is that in high g's maneuvers it may effect the pump performance"

Take care

Will the Bee II receive a SP version and powerpack ? It looks like all the other turbines on the line are going to be updated and the Bee is staying behind.
it is realy a good turbibe for sailpane and small aplications. Range would increase with 17 lbs and powerback would make install cleaner and easier.
I´m thinking about getting one for the eflite blanik but I will wait to hear if there is going to be any updates to it in a short time.

I was told by Eric and Juan that the Bee Will not receive the new power pak, the front inside case dimensions are too small to fit the required components.

Jose,

If the power pack fails, it would be replaced under Jet Centrals life time warranty @ no cost to you. If you wanted an extra pack to keep in your parts box as a back up, not sure of the cost but will text Eric and find out.

I've got 70 plus flights on my Rabbit 100 with the power pack and nary a concern so far. Got a Cheetah getting ready to go in for the 25 hour service and will have it changed to the current Power Pack.

Take care,
Mike

The question was asked earlier but i believe was overlooked. Is the pump motor brushless? I know the starter motors are now brushless. Thanks
