Need Help in Identifying Swap Meet Rescue
I rescued this glow ducted fan at a recent swap meet. It is powered by an O.S. 77 VR-DF engine. Can anyone identify the airframe and tell me what it is? It is nicely built; either scratch, or from a kit. The guy that sold it to me did not have any information other than it was built by a friend of his who supposedly flew it. On closer inspection, I don't believe that it has ever been flown ( no balancing weight, three Futaba servos with the old connectors and one Airtronics servo with the old connector, does not appear to have ever had a switch installed, etc.)
After doing a little on line research, it appears that the Glow DF area of the hobby is extinct. Does anyone think that this is a project worth pursuing? ( Purchase of servo extensions, receiver, battery, starting equipment, etc.) It appears that a starting wand is necessary to start the engine. I can't even find one of these on the WEB! I have never paid any attention to DF and know nothing about them!
Any comments, advice, and assistance would be greatly appreciated!

It looks like a scratch built loosely based on an Avro Arrow. You may be able to make a starting wand with a spinner and some tubing etc. If you have the funds it may be a good platform for an electric fan setup. Good luck!

Many thanks to everyone who took the time to respond, and for all the information provided. It definitely is not a Byron, and not a Parkinson. It could very well be a scratch build. It has a very nice O.S. 77VR-DF with the large Byron head. The top of the piston is very shiny and the tail pipe is clean as new. Never run engine? I don't know?
I just don't know if I want to pursue this little project, (manufacturing a starting wand, etc.) It appears that the DF Glow road is a rocky one. A few guys tried them in Wyoming where I used to live. They hardly had enough thrust to clear the runway. Everyone attributed that to the 5,000 ft. elevation.
If anyone lives close to Lake Havasu City, AZ, I have a very nice ceiling hangar for them cheap. Thanks again to all who responded!
Best Regards!
