The Klenke Boys are on the road now. We are packed to the max. Are motto here is bring all your jets or go home. Unfortunately this means that an L-39 has to ride on my arm rest the hole way. We have about 561 miles so we should be at the field around 3:30-4:00 PM. Hey dad are we there yet, ok I want ask that question again wake me up when we get close alright.

I have a request for all the EDF guys that will be flying this week at JOK.
I know! I know! JOK normally means "GAS TURBINES" but Lewis welcomes ALL JETS!!!! LOL

A new supplier of batteries is available in the Louisville area and caters to the heli and car groups as of current. If you are able to help me evaluate these batteries and give your thoughts and comments to get the word out, any help will be appreciated.
Possible support may be available from the supplier but will have to be addressed on a case by case bases and communication with the shop owner/importer. I say possible now!!!!!!! not a given.
What I will have are four 5000ma, 6s, 40c packs using CC 5.5mm bullets.
I offer these for use in your jet if you can use this configuration for evaluation.
My A10 uses these in a 6s2p config and I have 5 flights on two sets so far with good results.
The claim by the heli pilots is that they run them hard doing 3D then can place these right back on a 5c charge and go right back out and do it again. These batteries have been at last years IRCHA with very good success and compared to higher priced and name brands during that meet. They were found to be as good and better than the name brands. I don't have the full details on this but have heard from other s in the local club that this claim is valid.

IF this is something that you may be interested in, please get with me or Bob Belluomini at JOK.

Sam and Bob,

I will be be flying a Tamjet TJ-80 powered F4 with a Cortex a Gyro system. It uses 6S 5000s so I will be glad to burn them up for you.

I arrive Monday afternoon.

Sam,

Sounds like a plan! Bob knows me...or just look for the two Turbo Prop Tucanos...that's where I'll be! I'll actually have two F4s... So we can try the different motor packages.

Now that Ali is the man at Horizon, maybe you can talk to him about getting more throw on that throttle stick for you.. I think you are about to bend it!! You have a determined look to make it go faster that's for sure!!

dirk, didn't kris tell you? He's put the throttle on one of the two position switches (on/off). The left stick just controls rudder now.
See you in a couple days!

Sean,

I guess when I copied the picture from post #517 it doesn't enlarge like Lewis' pictures. Go to page 22, post 517 and click the picture to enlarge it. Kris is very intense and his thumb is turning white from pushing so hard..

Wow Lewis, Turtle Man!? You know you have "arrived" as a world class event when he shows up, HA! You need better security over there so those things don't happen, HA! Just kidding, having celebrity's show up is pretty cool, congrats.

Default Day 2 Jets Over KY

We have 33 pilots registered so far. That is with counting the few who came in as registration closed for the day. Lots of flying, great people, and a good time for all.
