Filmed at the birthplace of the Lancaster, Vulcan, Shackleton, Lincoln, and many many others, Woodford airdrome, UK, EX BAE systems,
And the chairman of our Large Model Association, Dave Johnsons 20foot Vulcan the largest commercial kit in the world,
both these aircraft, and many more, are regular performers on the UK show circuit, this weekend, both will be getting a shake down day, making sure all multiple systems are woking well, full details of these, and many more LMA models are on the LMA website,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxtd77EsaxY
both models flown by Dave both in their 2nd years operation, they bofh fly superbly, both scratch built, the VC10 used full sized drawings, Terry, head of the VC10 group (small guy, holding tranny) is an aircraft development engineer, very very gifted guy, hope you enjoy our big jets, from over the pond, if you want more, just ask, and i will see what i can find

???? Only just posted for 3+ hours, give it a day or so mate.
You must have forgotten, the guys in the USA have been at normal working hours, not too many surfing RCU until off work.
Really spectacular models, would love to see them in person. Would they ever appear at Classic Jets (Abingdon)?

sorry i just looked at the 165 views, and thought there was no interest but then i have just looked at some of the other viewings , and the post count in threads either side, and WOW, guess i expected too much sorry the guys go to events outside LMA circles, but i do not know if abingon is on the list transporting these beasts is not cheap, the Vulcan has a 4 man ground crew, it takes 3 to put the wings on wither side!! and fuel over here, both for plane, and car, is stupid money, but the guys do like to show off their builds, so they get around,

Impressive models. Thanks for posting.
I have seen the Vulcan in person in an air show years ago. I have also seen and flown in the VC-10 in my early days, a long time ago. I think the VC-10 was the loudest airliner around at the time, at least it seemed that way to me.

Congratulations on a truly superb model, just wish it had been in classic BOAC colours !
Nice to see the wing pod drogues settle down after spiralling, seen the real thing do that a few times !
Liked the nose high landing, just like the real thing.
Certainly has captured the beautiful lines of this wonderful airliner to perfection (yes it was one of, if not THE, noisiest airliner around in its time, with those low bypass Conways) although some DC8s and 707s could get close !
Congratulations again, can't wait to see it.

Me thinks the camera man--or in this case, the guy holding the I-PAD had a tad more on his mind watching this bird, than preserving this for prosperity
