So what was up with the skymaster F14 being carried away from the flight line with chunks missing from it?

Anton hit the fence when landing. Pushed in by crosswind.
The F14 flew well enough prior to that, maybe a little out of trim or just fighting the wind.

Was there Thursday and Friday to deliver a airframe to a buddy and hang out some. Rain Thursday but good flying after around 4:00 when the weather passed through. Friday was "FL Jets Windy" typical day but tons of flying! Some cool new product out and flying. Fairly "vendor strong", lots of ways to spend money for sure. Pablo's "Shockwave" seems to always be in the sky...great bird! The "Avanti", "Aurora" and "Ultima-Tum" were great new airframes to watch.

Venue looked great! Parking was much better on this site than the others in the past. Runway...although 700 ft. sounds short to those of us with 1000 ft. or more for our clubs, didn't see anything really roll past it. Saw some go arounds from possible landing long but the next pass they planned better and got their planes down fine. But most of the birds flying were sport jets.

Frank did a great job on the new venue in my opinion! Didn't see any "tail dragger" jets so wondering why he would need to "address" that one (comment made from another thread, needing to cater to taildraggers)?

How was the wind? Was it a crosswind?

Typically, Frank has had to set up on the crosswind runways to fly. Was this the case here?

The wind yesterday was a direct West wind and it was almost right down the runway, just a bit quartering at times when the gusts came in. I think it's about as good as you can get as far as direction.

They still run off of a 9:00am till 6:00pm NOTAM for Lakeland Linder Airport.
