Default DX-18 Sequencer and electronic retract valves

Hey all, have a question. I am new to the 18 and am trying to figure out which route i want to take for the LG system. I am looking at getting the xicoy dual valves (1 for gear, 1 for doors). Can i plug them directly to the rx and sequence through the radio, or should i use a standalone sequencer? Which brings me to the next question-will a Jet tronics sequencer work with the xicoy valves (i already have one). Thanks!

I plugged my landing gear and gear door valve in my X plus eight module and used the sequencer on my 18X to program. You can use any valve or servo with the Jet tronic sequencer.

If you have spare receiver channels to plug the valves for the gear and door then you may as well use the DX18s built in sequencer..

Just a quick question , I am using the Airpower retract valve , and using a 12 channel receiver with the Dx 18 , I assigned the X1 channel to the gear and use the sequencer to program the retract , Unfortunately it did not work , but later realized that the valve was defective , My question have you seen a problem doing it the way I did or is there an easier way out.

I've only done it once but in the sequencer; I created DOR and GER, assigned switches and speed, etc. I then create 2 mixes, one from DOR to the channel the door valve was plugged into and a second, GER to the channel the gear valve was plugged into. Then I verified operation in the servo monitor..
