Thanks for the advise Mark, ive attaced a pic showing the gap. what do you think. I have tried to measure that gap between the tail cone and the start of the pipe ignoring the bell mouth and it looks like it could be around 40mm. is that to far? im also worried if i stick to close it might make the smaller sized pipe run too hot?

Simon, congrats on the new jet!
i agree it needs to go back a bit. If you take the point where the taper in the bellmouth starts and the point where it ends, and split the distance between the two points, that is where the end of the exhaust cone should be. Yours appears to be right where the taper starts.

Simon. We've also found that the whistle can be eliminated by dremelling out the inside scoop of the air intake to provide a better curved glow of air through the intake. We'll have our carbon aurora at classic jets on Friday. Jamie has it at the moment and I'll take some pictures for you
Regarding the pipe size, 180 size was mentioned in our correspondence, was not aware you intended up fit a 210 turbine. At the time of your purchase this size of turbine was reserved for the carbon but has since been proven to be fine for the GRP model

Hi Simon
Nice flight. You'll find as you explore the flight envelope you'll be further amazed at how slow & fast the model can fly. At Jetpower a Grumania thrust vector pipe was fitted to the carbon Aurora, quite amazing to see. Hopefully video will appear of the flight soon from Friday. Was hoping to get a video on Sunday but the flying was rained off. Shame the slow flying characteristics were not demonstrated at Jetpower 2014 as it didn't really stand out amongst all the other ballistic sports jets that dominated the show. Here's Jamie's demo of the slow flying capabilities. I'm sure you've seen it before but thought it would good for your thread and for others to see just how slow the model can fly

Hi, the fuel tank i used (shown in my first post) is the optional tank that is supplied with the kit. it is 4.5L in capacity and is enough fuel for me. My Aurora is around 16kg dry, 20kg wet and have 1:1 power to weight ratio with the Kingtech 210G.

10.7Ltrs total? Wow. I'd say too big - even for the 210/220 class turbines. That's about 9kg of fuel/smoke fluid at take off!
6L fuel and 2L smoke just about spot on in my opinion.

Yes, of course, the size that you want, keeping the measures of the floor, 24x20,5cm. The hight is variable.
