Dear Friends,

Iīm building a F-100 that I would like to paint with this scheme, i donīt know if it called "candy stripe" or " statue of liberty"

And from my research about that airplane i saw that in some pictures the stripes looks very orange, with orange/white/ orange like this one from BVM site


But on the other pictures the stripes looks very red, and the wing tip is red, blue, white like this one also from BVM site


So, whatīs the true color of the stripe?

Does nay one already painted one F-100 with this scheme and if yes, what is the code for the red/orange stripe

They are 2 different planes.


The Red one is documented as an illustration on the back cover of the F100 book "Fighting Colors, F-100 Super Sabre in Colors"

Not sure about the documentation for the orange version, but Im sure they will point you in the right direction at BVM since that's was BV's original F100
