Hey Larry,
I'm in too, please accept our humble apologies for taking so long show up - really appreciate the past support from the NC gang at SJS.

Can't Wait!
Rusty

P.S. Mike told me he was cooking ALL the steaks, so...yeah...

Do to the economic downturn and the rising price of precious and semi precious metals, I will be unable to donate the "First in Flight" "Decal plates" that have become such a hall mark of the event.

HOWEVER,

There has not been an large increase in the cost of vinyl, ink and glue so you will still get the 4" x 8" decal but no aluminum plate. Some may like this better since this allows the freedom to place the decal on a variety of surfaces. If i hadn't bought a Cortex gyro while in Florida I would have the money to put the decals on the aluminum. But at the time I felt that I came first

Just saying...

Mike,

You're just selfish, shame on you!!! JK

I just installed a Cortex myself, but haven't had a chance to fly it yet.

Thanks for the plaques in the past. See you there.

Just bumping this info up,,,,

Ok,,,,, Who Needs To Rent A Tent?
We want to provide you guys a safe and easy way of paying for your pre-ordered tents, tables, fans, etc. online. We have set up a "First in Flight" Pay Pal account so that you can securely pay for your items online. Note: You do not have to use Pay Pal if you prefer not to. You will be able to use your Credit Card or Debit Card when paying online.

Here's how it works.

1.Look over the list of items below and determine what you will be needing.

2.Once you know, E-Mail that list to me at [email protected]

3. I will then E-Mail you an electronic Invoice with all charges that apply.

4. View the invoice for approval, then click on the Payment Tab.

5. You will have the choice of using Pay Pal, OR you can choose the CC/DC payment option. Im sure this will by far be the most popular.

6. Once you have paid the charges, you will receive a confirmation notice vie E-Mail All charges will be listed as First in Flight.

Simple enough! I think this is by far the most secure way of doing it. However,,,,, If for any reason you prefer not to do it this way, I can still take all your CC/DC info over the phone and perform the charges on my end of the deal. We've done this the last two events past with no problems, but honestly, I dont like having all your info on paper file for the brief time I do. Its up to you.

Also, if you like, you can send a regular check through snail mail. Make it payable to First in Flight Jets. Then mail to
Larry Lewis
4205 Pin Oak Rd.
Raleigh NC 27604

All prices cover Five Days of rental. All rental items will be in place on Tuesday afternoon.Pilots allowed to set up under tents that afternoon.

If you guys have ANY questions at all, please feel free to call me at 919-215-3946

For Hotel Information
, just click on the NavAir link below. Scroll to the bottom of the page for a complete list along with web links to the hotel itself. There is also a second Hampton Inn located even closer to the airport that we'll get info posted on soon.

http://www.airnav.com/airport/W03

Second Hampton Inn is called Hampton Inn Down Town. Its located even closer to the airport!

Few folks have emailed asking what the pilot registration fees are as we do not do a pre-event pilot reg. This years cost will be $60. This will include an event T-Shirt and Steak Dinner! Be sure and thank our sponsors at the event
Also, we'll be posting a few category trophies we'll be offering to sponsors to support again this year. Only four of the total amount will be sponsored and they are going to be the best ones yet! I'll get those posted soon and open the door for anyone wanting to sponsor them.
Parts are coming in for the First In Flight award! As many of you know, this award has to be special built. It carries a very special meaning to our event and it's a very unique design.

Things are in full swing with the excitement of FIF 2014. There is plenty of time to make plans for this GREAT Mid Atlantic event. Can you smell all that Jet-A fuel.

Perhaps, if I'm fortunate, this year I will be able to catch a glimpse of the regionally recognized and globally famous Larry Lewis!

Now he's *globally* famous! I seem to recall that previously he was only *nationally* famous. Pray tell, what did he do to become globally famous, and what must he do to become *nationally* recognized?

I would have thought that his picture on the cover of Model Aviation would have something to do with that, but he *DID* have to share the lime-light with Joe and Robert...

BTW, we were out burning kero yesterday getting the thumbs warmed up!

Hey Bob,

Larry's signature maneuver, the one point roll, has gone viral in Scandinavia, thereby making Larry globally famous. As for the cover of MA, the photo shoot was scheduled for Larry only, then those other two guys horned into the photo.

See you and Louie soon!

Mike
