Come on Ron,,,,,, We're not giving in THAT easy! Even if you have to make it a short trip we want to see you on the flight line again this year. You boys just keep those jets on charge and be ready to make a last minute departure if that's what it takes.
Seriously,,,,We hope it works out tat you can make it down again.

Here's a great Model Aviation magazine online review of last year's "First in Flight Jet Rally" with a bunch of pictures written and photographed by Navy F-18 pilot, Cmdr Kyle Matthew. Check it out in preparation for the 2014 event which is fast approaching on May 21-25, 2014. We'll see you there!

I'm sure glad to hear the city will be filling in the lake. I will still bring my tow strap along in case BV gets his van and trailer stuck again. My AWD Escalade is a great tow truck!!

HI guys, anyone looking for a turnkey jet to fly for the event, I will be bringing 2 for sale. The Boomerang Sprint, the best all around beginner jet, and a BVM Bandit, suited for the more experianced pilot.

I didn't know this was such a big event, guess I will be adding it to next flying seasons events! I'm hoping to hit all the southeast events next your to make up for this one. Do you get the down and locked crew at this event by any chance? Good luck with the event.

Jim, yes, there are limited electrical hookups for RV's that are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The NC skies are a brilliant blue and the long range forecast promises more of the same for the event. But just in case Mother Nature decides to water her lawn at the Wilson Industrial Air Center, we are prepared to keep the runoff out of the pit areas. The City of Wilson, NC has graciously filled all low areas bordering our main taxiway with "millings" to avoid standing water yet promote proper drainage. CD Larry Lewis shows his approval in the image above! It was an embarrassing dance that only I had to witness .

It's awesome that out host city takes such a proactive role in making the First in Flight Jet Rally perfect for all of us pilots. We all appreciate it and can't thank them enough.

Jim,
Sorry I didnt see the PM you sent. My RCU account is acting wacky again and I'm not getting any notifications. Been trying to see if any of the settings are changed but no luck in that.
As Robert said, there are power outlets at every RV spot but limited. It's a 15 Amp service.

I just reset all the PM settings again,,,,, Let's see if it works now!
