Well,,,,,,,, We sure liked our new Cool Banner that was so proudly displayed on the corner all week. And apparently someone else thought it was cool as well. So they STOLE IT late Sunday night!!!! Oh well,,,,,,,,,,,,, We'll have one just as cool next year and perhaps a little more security to go with it! What a shame....

I would like to thank everyone for the great wishes I'm finally home after the second surgery for these kidney stones and trust me I don't wish this on my worst enemy. They said I still had a 5mm and a 2mm stone left in there after the first surgery. This has been the most painfull thing I have ever gone through even worst than my knee replacment. I would also like to thank Bob Violett for the tip of the day which was for me to take this medication called SDR I will start taking as soon as I can. Also for the first time I find my self totally out of commission which has been very had for me the past few days as I'm always trying to stay busy doing something.
Once again thanks to all to all an dim just happy that the second attack waited to Sunday night when I got home.
I love first in flight it is just a great event with great people and awesome facility.

There was a fellow at the event whom I spoke to that said he has a set of brand new wings that are for the skymaster 1.5 first version hawk. I have the one that is for sale with the busted wings. If you will contact me or if someone can give me his info I would like to talk about buying them. I really like the way that one flew and would like to get back up in the air again.

Larry, Robert, and the entire crew...A job well done! I had a great time, and what a great event for me to start the season with!
When I arrived I noticed your banner. I said to myself, "I sure hope it isn't stolen"! Someone got us once too, now there's a steel cable on it. We will surely be back next year!

A big thanks to Robert, Larry and the rest of the gang for making FIF, FC! (First Class. ;-) ) Ann and I had a great time and we will be back next year.
In fact, we had such a great time that I totally forgot to take out my cameras. And what with me having a website for just that sort of stuff. I'm such a dumbass.
Thanks again,
...jim

We have reviewed the video tapes from the gas station across the street of the banner. Seems a vehicle matching the exact description of YOURS was seen pulling off into the vacant lot approximately 12:32 AM. When we blew the video up and redigitized it, we could easily recognize YOUR pocket knife being used to cut the Zip Ties holding the banner to the post!!!!! Seeing how you were wearing dark sunglasses and a black trench coat, we we not anle to positively idetify it being YOU holding the knife. The Wilson county police department should be contacting you soon! lolololololol

Little late but would like to thank Larry, Robert and especially all the people who's names we may not know but they work tirelessly to make this event run smoothly. Had a great time and look forward to next year. Didn't take too many pics but here are a few.

Larry, my buddy Jimmy let the cat out of the bag. When I finally kick the bucket my tomb stone is going to quote my favorite government official Marion Barry " Da Bit*h set me up". There was nobody there, you didn't see me, and I know nothing about it. In this day and age though why are we surprised that a dirt bag stole the banner before I could. Did I really say that. Lol.

Hey guys,
Just wanted to jump in and say thanks to all who supported our event this year. Weather was great, pilots were awesome, and the flying was fantastic. The First in Flight Jets staff could not be happier with how it all went down. We're already making plans for next years event with more improvements. Of course, all of them are directed toward the pilots in making it a better meet for you all. First in Flight, IS, and will always be a Pilots Event.
Also would like to thank all of our sponsors again for the contributions they made. No doubt what they do raises the Fun Factor for all of us. Thanks again to Global Jet Club and Jackie Sacks for their raffle items and helping to sponsor the Saturday night banquet.
Also thanks to John Romero for all the great pictures he's been posting. I'm told there are hundreds more to come!!! Like many of us, John has been very busy with work trying to play catch up from being out of the office for a week.
We'll do a complete wrap up later about the event and post names of the raffle winners and the very deserving recipients of the awards. Until then, thank you all.
