Hi Lance,
Glad you will be back. We should figure out ahead of time if you prefer to use the hangar or the tent. I am going to have a tent or two with full sides, so it will be enclosed.
We will have access to the hangar as well, a little more of a walk than Rushford but easy to do.
The Blackbird should be right at home. This runway is really pretty good, just a few shallow spots on the centerline so landing off center a little is flatter. It is wide open and has no traffic.
Saturday fire should be great, looking forward to it.
Dave (PS I bought a Jeti..)

Thought you all might like to see a few videos from the 2009 event in Rushford. I've just redone the videos with a little bit better quality, and stabilized.

There is a chance that we may make this years event. No promises though, as a lot of things have to come together just right. ;-)

Hi everyone,
Just a quick update:
A few people have their hotel reservations set, I checked today and they are holding a block of rooms but the weekend fill up so if you think are coming, it might be a good idea to make a phone call. The number, and all details are on the first post above.
There also is camping/RV with power available next to the airport. This may also be connected to the runway access this summer. We are 3 miles from town, fuel, food, lodging. Really close to everything.
We will have the central tent with sides this year and also access to the hangar for those that want to make the walk.
This is a wide open runway that is closed for our event. NO BS, just flying. We can fly starting Wed evening. Dinner is Saturday at the field around 5 so we can fly too.
Keep in mind that we will be setup Mid-Runway, facing East with sun behind us from about 11-Sunset, or about 9 hours of flying, 11-12 hrs if you head out early.
See you latter this summer,
Dave

Hi Jerry,
That sounds fun, as long as I am not the one operating the DF!
I hope all of the guys in IA, IL, SD/ND and WI might make the trip. We are relatively central for the area - really not that far away and have pilots from MO, NE, MN every year. A 5 mile driving radius gets into many states.
Anyway, it is a great location, fun group, and a closed runway with the sun to your back. Also, we only stop flying when we want to or if we have to pick a plane up. No shows or demonstrations, you do that while YOU are flying.

Thank you John for the video of the 2011 event. Our event has moved to Iowa but is otherwise very much the same.
You can see my old F22 (Yellow), Jerry's Kingcat and Lance's SR 71 in the video.
For those who may come this year - Please use the information in this thread at the top of the page for the most accurate news.
Aside from a room reservation there isn't much to arrange. We will have great open space, no traffic and a lot of fun.
It might be a little early but I would appreciate a head count, so if you know you are coming, please chime in here.
I am hoping we can get a few new and returning pilots from MN, IA, ND/SD and WI. I know the usuals from MO and NE will be there- thanks guys!
