Default Hobbyking 'Red Head' pulse jet engine

Hi guys,

Received my pulse jet the other day, tried to run it and nothing happens it does not even go pop. Tried to get in contact with Hobbyking via the live chat and I have been on there for 3 hours to have a stubborn customer service rep who was been a (let your imagination think what that it) and then he finally put my through to a 'product specialist' which i the option i piked to start off with who just sent me a link to a search on the engine for me to solve the problem.......

I am trying to run it on petrol, I have spark and a compressor and the fuel tank is in the right place so that the engine can draw fuel but not flood it.

I really want to get this running

Hopefully someone on here could lend me a hand on this issue. Thanks

Perhaps putting a link to the engine on HK's site would help.

I hope you are wearing all of the protective bomb disposal gear you can. I wouldn't want to be anywhere near a HK pulse jet when it's fired up !
As far as HK support ...that's par for the course

My understanding is that you can have too much air from an air compressor, it does not allow the reed valve to close and begin the first pulse. Try using very short pulses of air.
